Logged in, saw thirty posts in Misc. Auto Racing, Apparently according to the pictures, some of the spectators had also figured out how to get their chairs on the other side of the catch fences. There are several chairs on the wrong side of the secondary fence. They put the big catch fence up that is supposed to stop cars from leaving track, and then put up a lower spectator fence that also marks out the maximum possible extension of the catch fencing. Sitting inside that secondary barrier is really pretty much negating the whole benefit of a catch fence. orange juche fucked around with this message at 01:31 on Mar 29, 2015 |

SP7, SP8, SP9, SP10 and SPX class cars suspended from racing at the Ring until further notice. That's 911 Cup cars, cars with non-standard engines up to 6.25ltr or 4.0ltr turbo, FIA GT3 cars, FIA GT4 cars and weirdo stuff like the Glickenhaus respectively.

There was a 2nd shot of the wreck on motorsport.com from at the crest and looked like the GTR was taking off before the crest of the hill it seems. The 3 other Porsches in the video seem to keep the front nose down but the Nissan was already taking off. He couldn't do a drat thing.

Even before you can see the car start to lift all of the weight from the front wheels will have disappeared and there would have been no steering well before that. I have a feeling some modifications of the track will be in the near future.

Good news, everyone! Live WEC coverage via Fox, Fox Sports 1 and 2 and FS Go confirmed for the United States. Includes live coverage and a 52-minute highlights package later on. Full race will be on their streaming site, too. Assuming this'll be the world feed with the Radio Le Mans coverage. Exciting! Great for Americans who have the right cable package.

George Zimmer posted:Apparently grid girls are no more in WEC. Cue outrage from dumb nerds who are seemingly still unaware of Internet porn. Let's take a dive shall we.... Wow. For those of you saying this is all long over due, and anything else PC that suits your narrow minded needs, why don’t you all go live in a dictatorship somewhere, as enjoyment and happiness are also banned there too. The girls totally love their work. It’s a big deal to them, apart from the money. It’s a leg up, as you were, in their professional modeling career, not to mention a thrill at being on the grid of a race. No one is forcing them there. But a load of miserable PC bureaucrats have decided they know whats best for us, the mere trolls, on whose backs they sit and take money from. Soon, we will not only see a ban on ANY female in advertising, but looking at someone, in a perfectly natural way, will be illegal too. We would not want to “offend” the Muslims, whose countries we race in now, would we?. Where does all THEIR money come from? Oh right. From ripping off the world for decades, that’s where. So lighten up, ACO. TRY and stay in touch with the REAL world and keep your miserable humorless grey dull and boring world to yourself. Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders beware. A load of grumpy narrow minded PC idiots will try and eliminate your jobs too. They won’t be happy until we are all wearing green or grey Mao suits, and we all look the same. No one will have any advantage over anyone else. Well except for them that makes up all this BS. They will be living large, of course. Bring back the Grid Girls. Long live freedom of expression. Down with dictators at every level of society. Well done FIA on destroying tradition. Bloody joke. I guess advertising must now remove all female models and all other model work must be banned. Heck, we didn’t even see grid girls on the screen. These extreme feminists are doing a great job… that and/or expansion into the middle east is forcing this move, in that case, we must ask is it really worth it? And the best for last... 1000 jobs will be lost. Now many of them will consider taking up the oldest job in the world. I don’t think this is a good idea. White, males in their 40s can't believe they won't see 20 year old scantily clad women in their racing... oh what will we ever do. BMB5150 fucked around with this message at 14:29 on Apr 3, 2015 |
