It's not all like that, a lot of the music is streamed audio that sounds like actual music, but interspersed between those tracks are terrible MIDI files that don't play correctly. The word was that the devs had originally intended to use a bunch of classic Sonic tunes but Sega made them pull them at the last minute, so some dude replaced them with fan MIDIs pulled off the internet.

The music in that Zelda clone is supposed to be ironic, I think.

When it "came out" that he had actually been deaf the whole time it made sense why the Director's Cut soundtrack was such a loving mess, because hey; he'd gone deaf!

Then it turned out it went another layer deep and he FAKED being deaf AND paid someone ELSE to do it, who wasn't deaf, but it still loving sucked. What?

Yeah, and they very obviously "course-corrected" by trashing the poo poo out the 3DS game as if it was substantially worse when it's pretty much the same game. Most reviewers just parrot the zeitgeist, they can't be trusted to form their own opinions or to come to sound conclusions about things.

Yeah like look at the Final Fantasy XIII games. XIII is easily the worst of the three but it got pretty solid reviews because people were excited for a new Final Fantasy on next gen consoles. Lightning Returns is easily the best of the three but there was so much negativity with the XIII series at that point that it got like 60 on metacritic. Plus there's stuff like this:

Reviewers are the worst + Yoshi's Island DS isn't very good. I'm just going to replay the original and pray that Wooly World will be the first good Yoshi game in like 20 years

Just fyi, The early May bank holiday is tied to May Day, an ancient spring festival with pagan origins. It's widely celebrated with a bunch of cool traditional stuff like May Poles and Morris dances.

St. George on the other hand was some Turkish dude who's arbitrarily become our patron saint.
