I'd like to watch some youtube videos on my phone on my train commute, but without using enormous amounts of data. Is there an easy way to cache certain youtube videos while on wifi, and watch them from my device, then clear them? I know I could just, like, use a youtube grabber on my computer, save it as an avi or whatever, and then transfer that to my phone, but I'm wondering if there's an easier built-in way to save youtube videos for offline viewing.

I was thinking more along the lines of, like, episodes of Last Week Tonight, instructional videos on things I want to learn about, etc.

It also is kinda useless since it doesn't work on all videos.

Galaxy S6 / KitKat HDMI Stick (MK809III) involved.

Is there an app for staging multiple timers that finish at the same time? I'm thinking for cooking mainly, say l know how long each thing takes and when I want it all to finish, I'd like something that can tell me how long until I start cooking the next thing.

Is there a way to clear Instagram search history beyond just recent searches? Like clear out the 'suggestions' it gives you? When I search for stuff or go to tag someone, it 'prompts' with accounts that you've looked at before. Which sometimes isn't things I want to come up (eg. a pornstar who's account I looked at once). Google searched but didn't find an answer.

I've generally used Reddit is Fun for the past year or so. I just got finished trying Relay over the last month or and went back to Reddit is Fun. It's just more intuitive and much more information dense.

Are there any other YouTube apps for Android that allow downloading videos? I'm coming from a Windows Phone and had a couple apps on that phone that would let me download videos without additional fees. Edit: a quick Google search answered that question for me so I guess my real question is this: has anyone here used an app called TubeMate to download YouTube videos? It's not on the Play store but looks like it would accomplish what I'm trying to do. Ev fucked around with this message at 19:32 on Aug 3, 2015 |

I've been using this for a few years. It only has three timers, but that's been all I've needed for most occasions. As far as working out to have everything finish at the same time I would suggest math. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leinardi.kitchentimer

Just wait for Christmas and Halloween to come around. Or if you take a bunch of photos and it makes instant panoramas. Its brilliant. Or groups stuff by things like "weddings" etc.

Just remember that you're trying to get around paying like $10 a month for a well tested service that does exactly what you want with zero effort or trouble on your part. Every free app is going to have some weird and annoying workaround solution to it that may fail with any given software update. Whether or not the effort and time that entails is worth it will be up to you.

Are there any apps out there that'll help me to routinely clear my cache and/or otherwise help me free up space on my phone's tiny 2gb hard drive? EDIT: Also, a good alternative to Chrome? It's the biggest app I have at 141MB, with Google Play Services the next biggest at 91.22MB. Is the browser app in the OP still good? neogeo0823 fucked around with this message at 13:53 on Aug 5, 2015 |

The snarkiest of answers is to get a new phone. Assuming that's not a possibility, whatever you do don't uninstall or disable Google Play services. It will turn your phone into a dumb phone. Every Google system relies on Google Play services.

Yeah, I don't intend on getting rid of Google Play, but surely there has to be a less bloaty browser I can use and some decent cleaning app out there. The couple I've tried don't seem to do anything unless I pay $5 to unlock them, which is just a kick in the teeth to me.

Do you have an SD card? You should be able to move some apps to the card. I remember dealing with this on an old phone and was able to root to move anything to the SD card, but that's on a device by device basis.
