5k pace and 10k pace are very different, at my best my 5k time was around 21mins but I've never gotten my 10k time under 50. One day!

Im not saying they are the same but race predictors put you well below 50 minutes if youve got a 21 minute 5k And I'm not saying Aramoro will find it easy, but at 24 minutes he'd be about on track for a 50 minute 10k

Obviously all of that is based on appropriate training on the distances but theres no reason you shouldnt be able to both meet your goals with appropriate training

Yeah I'll get there. The town moor parkrun is pretty flat and my 10k route has a fair few ups and downs which doesn't help. e: actually my best time for that route is 50:22 and runkeeper records it as anywhere between 6.25 and 6.3 miles depending how it feels so I'm calling that a sub 50 10k Party Boat fucked around with this message at 10:31 on Aug 12, 2015 |

It's for the last leg of a tri so if I can get a decent ~50 min run time hopefully I can squeeze it in under an hour after the cycle.

The guy is insane and hosed his knee up when trying to run while using a selfie stick, came back a couple of months later and actually completed it which is amazing but it was like a comedy of errors. at one point he decided to go cross country over some swampy moors in scotland and then get naked and sit in a river. its amazing he didnt die of exposure.
