Jfc this.

This is why it is so frustrating to be a USA fan. Just can't get the rugby to happen.

He's made some pretty bullshit calls against the USA for sure. Early in the game he called play on for a late hit against McGinty chasing his own kick and then immediately called a penalty when the U.S. players stood their ground on a Samoa chip and chase.

never, like, count out Touchdown Tom, man
USA really not helping its case though, with 12 total penalties we can't really blame all those on George Clancy

It's been nice and sunny, the ball isn't slippery, the pitch looks decent. Should have been a lot more free-flowing than this.

Could have said similar for France-Italy mind.

I think it's only about 12 kilos: they were both surprisingly chunky when they showed it earlier.

Yeah that's a crazy game to get into rugby on. That said I can't whine myself, I've only seen a couple of games before seeing the Six Nations matches this year on the last matchday, and that was some absolutely crazy rugby with an insane amount of tries (esp in the France game)

Years ago now, possibly just before the 5 Nations became 6, Wales beat Ireland playing at Lansdowne. A while later, a very, very drunk Welshman came back to his hostel wherein I worked at the time. He was swaying and his eyelids weighed around ten stone apiece, near as I could tell. He made a bee-line to me and drunkenly apologised on behalf of Wales to me, representing Ireland, for the result. I told him it was alright "Sure, didn't we both beat England?"

He nodded so hard he nearly brained himself on the counter and shook my hand to express his solidarity with my logic.

That was the correct decision. MacGingty ran into the Samoan lock looking for the penalty.

Uruguay have a pretty strong rugby presence in their country and, poo poo, there was that team whose plane crashed and they turned cannibal to survive.

Don't underestimate Uruguay.

FilmOn have an ITV feed that's not too bad, don't know if you need to be inside UK to use it. Does mean you have to suffer ITV coverage too.

Irish coverage is sponsored by some arseholes who seem to have insisted on ad breaks between the anthems and kick-off. They even managed to miss some anthems yesterday because sponsored breaks.

I suspect this may have a deleterious effect on the company in question.
