VW wouldn't announce participation mere months before they would be expected to have an engine, irrespective of all the 'secret planning' they may or may not have done.

I think the VW engine R&D department are fairly tied up at the moment.

Remember when Horner thought he would take over Todts job because he ran a fraudulent winning team? Good times.

I think everyone is in agreement that Horner is unemployed as soon as Red Bull are done with F1.

Uh, the Toro Rosso cars have actually been interesting to watch this year, far more than the actual RBR team itself. But judging from your previous post, see ya!

My previous post said I was just going to skip the TV coverage, I'm still following the sport but I'm just done wasting 2 hours of my Sunday evening catching up on tedious races. I'm not interested in what's happening in the mid-field in the slightest bit.

As for TR being interesting to watch, barely. I can't even remember the other drivers name (let's just call him not-Verstappen for now). But eh, we've done this conversation in this thread before, la la la how hard is it to remember someones name la la la not a true fan la la la etc. - fact of the matter is, they're an infinitely forgettable team for me. Maybe not for you or for the other posters in this terrible thread, but for me, forgettable.

Horner is actually a p cool guy. 10 years at the helm of an F1 team and he is still only 41 years old. Hes got another 30 years of F1 in him! If guys like Eric frenchdouche and Jonathan Neale can keep F1 jobs despite being useless, then an actual good team boss like Horner should have no trouble.

No, Germans have the good sense to do that in the privacy of their own homes/offices.

Yes, but they're Cosworth so no one wants it.

The Cosworth V6T is just the same one they had in the 80s and I'm pretty sure that's what Red Bull will be running next season.

It makes you wonder why they even bothered. They dumped the engine after less than 2 years.

My memory is a little fuzzy on the whole thing but I recall them really wanting to try and get a 4 cylinder to work just like BMW did and arriving at exactly the same conclusion. I think they went with the 6 cylinder because of the year of turbo only engines and being an engine supplier was still lucrative back then even if your engine was poo poo.
