Decided to spend some time consolidating trade routes and stabilizing my settlements (i.e. giving my "major" areas such as Sanctuary and the Castle full facilities, while giving the smaller ones food/water/defense balance without too many small things) and I find myself enjoying the pace, weirdly enough. I'm getting a fairly steady stream of Minuteman missions over the radio so I've got a decent flow of experience, caps and items coming in. There's something strangely rewarding about seeing the Commonwealth slowly populate and having Minuteman patrols areas you've cleared. BambooEarpick posted:I'm using a 50cal now. 185 range with 112 accuracy. Misses pretty often at ranges I'd actually want to snipe from but don't seem that far. Ah, yeah, in that case I think it's just the game being a bit derpy with ranges and accuracy drop-off. I'm using a .50 caliber as well - deliberately took the scope off as I'm a sucker for bolt action rifles - with the same range. Not sure if there's some small bullet drop simulation going on or anything.

Thanks. A laser shotgun sounds pretty . What levels in Gun Nut and/or Science do you need to mod it that way? On a general note, I love how you can mod guns so much in this game that they can become totally different guns in the end.

Anyone been to the old folks home yet? Pretty fun location. If you're wondering, the safes hold only meds and jets. Kinda lame.

Are there any .45 ACP hand guns? I got a snubnosed .44 which is pretty cool, but I have 400 .45 I'd like to use, but not in this combat rifle. Also at a 'combat rifle' chambered in .45 ACP.

Okay, I can confirm that you get a shitload more caps by using Fortune Finder. Had it at Rank 2 for a while, I've got thousands of caps at level 12 where before I was lucky to break a few hundred by that level. It is HUGELY profitable. The same goes for Ammo Scrounger, because after a while you start randomly finding Fusion Cores in ammo boxes, which before were so very difficult for me to hunt down. That Power Armor is going to see a LOT more use now. Naturally, if you're playing the economy game and have settlements set up to generate lots of Purified Water for you to sell Fortune Finder shouldn't be necessary, but that's the thing, different playstyles for different results.

I skipped 1200 posts in this thread. Jesus Christ. So check every power armor you come across, kids. I found a set that LOOKED like a full suit of T-51, but it was actually X-01 when I selected it to jump in. Now if I could only find the last piece of T-45 that I need to finish my collection. I should have kept the stuff from the beginning of the game but I didn't know I'd want it. I want a set of Minute Men painted armor and for some reason that only goes on T-45. I think I junked it a while back and I've got everything but the right arm. Also, I have a Freezing Shishkabob. Why? A lot of my Legendary drops are loving garbage. Freezing Fatmen, Poisoned rocket launchers, anti-animal security batons.. New Leaf fucked around with this message at 23:32 on Nov 21, 2015 |

Mass Fusion quest problem: So I teleported to the building with Allie Filmore and killed all the BoS people, but I can't proceed any further because the game wants me to hack an advanced terminal and I can't because I never put any points into hacking, and you don't have a companion for this quest. Also I can't fast travel away. Am I hosed?

Saw this post on reddit the other day which I found to be pretty interesting as well as incredibly . Guy tested a bunch of stuff relating to legendary prefixes and resistances. I don't necessarily agree that bleeding is -all- that good though. It can be great situationally but I've found that most enemies die long before the bleed dot can have much of an effect. Very limited usefulness when poo poo is dying in 1-2 hits. Could I hit something with a single bleed shotgun blast and then let the dot finish them off without taking a second shot? Sure, but gently caress that. I'm not gonna let him continue attacking me while he slowly dies just so I can conserve a single shell.

Frankston posted:Mass Fusion quest problem: is this before you get in the lift? I think there's a holotape with a password, up top in the office if I remember right. If it's after that, when you get stopped by the BoS powering down the lift, the terminal is a shortcut and you can take the long way down, dropping floor to floor.

Is there a way to stop the launcher auto-scanning and resetting graphics options on every launch? I've got everything pretty much how i want it but then the launcher resets everything to max (including godrays etc which i don't care about).

If yes, you may have set it to RO while the graphics were set to high and now nothing else will stick. If no, maybe try setting everything to low and then change it to RO. Alternatively, can you skip the launcher by running the game .exe directly?

so i've been base building in sanctuary a little and i've never been very creative with stuff like this. what would help me tremendously is a command to delete static objects. anyone know of one? I just found out about ScrapAll which makes cleaning up new settlements much easier but this leaves buildings and stuff in place. I want to get rid of houses in sanctuary.

I hit the point where the next main story quest said "The Nuclear Option" and I've more or less ran out of sidequests as well. I thought there would be more quests to do since there are so many companions to level up. alas

Though from my non-gun person point of view that one in particular looks like a russian or chinese pistol so it probably wasn't whatever that was. A relative lack of weapons, especially coming off New Vegas which seemed to have a ton, is one of my biggest disappointments with the game. Even a couple higher end "Pipe gun" type weapons that were hugely moddable would have been nice. Edit: God I loving loved in FONV that I could basically just be a revolver guy if I wanted.
