If I win it I am buying my wife a car for her birthday/Christmas present since they are both this month and she is aware of this, in fact she is has already planned a party for the fight and invited all her friends.. I can't quite remember right now for various reasons, Glen Levit being one of them, but I think this might be the most I have ever bet on sports.

I feel kinda bad because jase1 would almost definitely have made a fuckton of money betting on Holm.

Still wondering why Bang went up to +400 out of nowhere. He still won the fight?????

I had a wine buzz going when I read Aldo is +150 right now and decided to see if I can actually get a deposit in on online sportsbetting since I haven't tried in many years while always getting declined in the past. One of my cards actually worked so I got $500 on Aldo at +150. Also parlaying Aldo + Gunnar for $250.

Too scared to touch Weidman/Rockhold.

I do this technique called a suplex. You probably haven't heard of it, it's pretty obscure.
I have never done online sports betting because the sites seem too sketchy and I'm way too much of a nerd to know a bookie in real life. Aldo as an underdog really makes me want to take a shot though.

Bookies are easy to find. In fact you probably know 5 people right now who knows a bookie. Find a guy you work with who loves football and chances are he has bet on a few games. Bartenders are you friends too, especially at bars with a lot of pool tables ask them and they will most likely know a guy or actually be the guy. Bovada is the way to go right now for online.

Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman, aka I Hope Shawn Thompson Is In Hell. Goons decided that Coleman would wrestle Couture and was a great underdog at +300 or so and half the forum bet on him.

Also, I don't think anyone under the age of 50 uses a bookie (except Jase1 and criminals maybe).

Mark Coleman vs Randy Couture, his last fight, UFC 109. He was a sizable underdog. The reasoning was Couture was also old and wasn't much of a threat for a KO, so Coleman could hang in there and ultimately his knees would have one more fight left in them. NO, they did not.

It started off as a few people honestly putting their money on Coleman as a "smart" play, but then after a few there were just a ton of bandwagoners who wanted to get in on the action. like 20 goons lost hundreds of dollars. This has since been repeated about once a year since 2010 and is my favorite tradition of these forums.

I use a bookie from New York (I live right outside of Philly) whom I met through a friend. Monthly we mail payments to each other and it's been 3 years now and neither of us has hosed the other one over. It's p nice.

I used to use Bovada and it seems to be a pretty good site, but my credit card was flagged for fraud activity twice in a 6 month span because of the site and that's when I decided to cut ties. I know another person who had the same issue. However for the most part it's a pretty solid site.

My buddy used to play poker at the Niagara casino and I can assure you that there are bookies in Canada. He had a few grand on Cain beating Brock and we drank real well that night.

I only started poorly sportsbetting from UFC 187 onwards, why are bookies preferred by some than online? Better odds? The ability to haggle over the line?

Getting on an online sports book can be a pain in the rear end in the US. It can involve scanning ID and sending it to central america etc. If an online book has weirdly high odds you're stuck with it unless you want to jump through hoops again. Cashing out can be done within a day instead of a week+. Also, and most importantly, by using a bookie you're supporting the local economy.

Ty1990
Apr 22, 2011

Bovada has some retarded rear end lines. For whatever reason they'll always have usually much higher lines for some NFL games, but they'll juice the gently caress out of it. For example the Cardinals might be -7 on most sites, but Bovada will have them at -9 (-130).

That you know of. You're in college so I'm willing to bet that you do. When you meet someone they won't immediately open the conversation with how they illegally bet on sports.

Well I mean I guess, but I talk about it with other people and it's always through some online site. I know Canada is more open about online gambling than the states is.

Anyways, just put 10 bucks on Joe Lazon at +155 against Evan Dunham on Friday. Dunham is like a perpetual disappointment coasting off of hype of being the NEXT BIG THING in 2010. Lauzon's kind of a one round wonder, but he's a murderer for that one round and I'll take him at those odds for sure.

Frankie Edgar is around -130ish on most sites, which seems like a hell of a line considering just how good Edgar is. I think he can beat Mendes in all areas of the fight.

Imo that line seems like nothing to get excited about, i think the fight could go either way, maybe slightly favoring frankie but not enough to think -130 is great value. Mendes is really good too remember
