If you want to get up and go out for a bit thats fine to do (I saw it the previous day). She lasted about 100 minutes, right to the point of getting to Maz. She loved it, but just wanted to keep moving around and talking...so I wound up having to carry her out after a few times of walking around didn't help. No one complained to us and she still had a lot of fun. Also watching her give Finn a Thumbs Up for shooting down the Tie Fighters was adorable....also thank god, much like the MGSV thread, there is a Star Wars GiP thread so I can stay out of CD. EDIT: Also concur on the piss before hand, but just go in with the thought that it won't matter and you'll have to get up anyway.

I thought it was a pretty solid show that almost had the prequel trilogies breaking even on quality. That Anakin was actually pretty cool, and not the whiny little cumbubble that the actual movies made him out to be.

Yeah, really aside from them using Ashoka as a lame 90s sassy grrl-power mouthpiece for the first season and how every Padme heavy episode just drags things to a halt, the show really does build steam. Ashoka really gets fleshed out pretty well as the series progresses an in the last 2 seasons she manages to become the least retarded Jedi in the universe when she realizes how incredibly stupid the whole order is. They also did a lot of great work with the clones and exploring how hosed up a slave army is, regardless of how you make it. Plus, Cad Bane and the rest of the evil bounty hunters really made for great villains

I found out yesterday that there is an apparently high quality fan edit of the original trilogy that restores them to their pre-special edition and Lucas fuckery glory called the Despecialized edition. Had it download last night, so I'll give a trip report once I have the chance to watch 'em through.

Thinking back on it, they really got Luke's expression in that last scene right. He knew he couldn't avoid this, that someone would seek him out one day, hell, he left that map for a reason, but after his failure as a teacher, uncomfortably close to the way Obi Wan failed his father, he dreads having to take up the mantle again.
