When I was a sound guy for one of the Marine Corps bands, our staff sergeant told us a story about a corporal who was ragging on the guest vocalist during a rehearsal. Kept saying how he could sing the song (God Bless the USA) better and whatnot. So, the band officer decided to give him a shot for some reason, and this is what resulted:

Longer story is that there was a short car chase and that's a likely driving under influence - dude argued with policeman in aggressive and threatening manner.

Some mild semi-personal schadenfreude: a close friend of mine was a TA for a writing 101 course last semester. She told me about one of the essays she had to score, which was about why vaping was better than smoking. From what I understand, the essay was not well supported and the concluding paragraph was something to the effect of "I don't really know how to end this sooooo..." She was not thrilled to grade this. Apparently over the break the kid's vape battery exploded on him. Caused 3rd degree burns requiring skin grafts. I feel bad for the kid but I'm so tired of people going YEAH I VAPE [insert long list of justifications]

Both Bundy's were arrested along with 4 other people and another was killed in a shootout with the police. Georgia Department of Education employee, Jeremy Spencer, was Associate Superintendent of Virtual Education. That was until it was discovered that his public Facebook page was full of racist poo poo and contained a comment of a lynching photo. It's not full schadenfreude as I have no doubt that cronyism got him there to begin with (he and the state superintendent are from the same backwoods and Spencer supported him in the election) and that the Superintendent was fully aware of how much of a shithead he is. Still, it's satisfying to see someone in this state get fired for it.
