Yeah Sea Bastard are cool and that song is decent, bit if a slow burner even for them I think.Idioteque Dance posted:Oh, also Bossk have posted a track from their upcoming and first LP: https://bosskband.bandcamp.com/track/kobe And I love me some Bossk too, thanks! They are probably the band I've seen live the most times, I dunno why but a few years back when I lived in the north of England they seemed to play support for basically every other band I went to see. They put on a decent show too.

Not sure if it needs to go here but I''m sure there is some audience overlap. First song and video from the new Black Mountain has been released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_USHKQ4Ntc8

First bit from the new Cult of Luna album with Julie Christmas on it. Supposedly this isn't totally representative if her input but I'm still totally down enough to pick this up based on this alone.

I know it has been around awhile, but I had to share. It is Thou doing a cover of Soundgarden's 4th of July. When that second vocal kicks at 2:05 its perfect. Well worth a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6eBy9o-x4A

When I heard the cover of this a while back it dawned on me that this song is probably what set me on the path to loving doom. Like I was obsessed with this song when I was younger and would listen to it on repeat at times. I listened to it at least once a day for probably three years. Kind of sad that it took me a decade and a half to actually realize that that was the start of it all, but here we are

I'm old enough to remember being at a local record store in late 1989, and asking the guy at the counter who in gently caress was they playing. It was Soundgarden's Loud Love. Also Badmotorfinger is a pretty heavy album, and still holds up today.

Heh I remember the first time I listened to Probot album Dave Grohl did a while back and flipping out when I heard Kim playing. Didn't know he was on the album but I'll be damned if I don't recognize him quickly. Here's a gem that somehow wound up on a movie soundtrack but not on an actual album: Birth Ritual. Good poo poo man.

I dare say the movie was made to make that soundtrack.

I wish it always worked out that way when looking up bands on the internet.

I'm putting on a gig this Saturday. Slabdragger, OHHMS, Morass of Molasses and Mower. I need to make up a doomy playlist to play inbetween sets. I'm so behind on my music these days so what can you guys recommend that'll suit the kind of crowd there?

Lots of doom shows seem to put classic thrash and death metal on between bands, I assume to provide some lighter relief during the interludes.
