Now I feel even older A Neurotic Jew posted:https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/comment/6375302/#Comment_6375302 <--- click here if you want to read alot of words by Ben Lesnick about the minutia of the Wing Commander movie. Ouch. If anyone else subjected themselves to "Meet the Devs" the one with Lesnick is instructive in this. J Pugh (fired in the Sandi rage incident) had a gimmick of asking his guest what their fave film was, then responding "I haven't seen it" This got quite funny when the films were Bladerunner, Star Wars, Alien etc. Lesnick was asked then told by Pugh: fave film which is NOT Wing Commander. Also at the begining of the interview there is an aaawkward moment where Lesnick says to Pugh "Good to meet you... Person who I employ" Also instructive to see that J Pugh is approx .025 Lenicks in size. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEn3ynoSeUE

In finding other things to do news I've got back into ED today. Played when the game came out but I got bored of the space trucking. Came back and made as much money shooting dudes as I ever did in weeks of space trucking. Also did a multipart mission with a huge (for me) payout. Planning to join up with goons shorty. It's still very much a make your own fun game, but at least your own fun doesn't have to be space trucking unless you want to earn a space pittance. I really enjoy the combat and how heavy the my cobra mk 3 jpeg feels. Also I forgot how amazing the game looks. Especially when you DSR it up a notch to see space battles super far off. Think I'll buy Horizons tomorrow and fart around on planets a bit.

It was probably set up just to transfer $$$ for tax reasons. However the Rising Star companies Ortwin is connected to are still active., the site says that it has been around since 1995. There is no way Ortwin would allow another company to infringe on his IP, so I think Ortwin is very much still connected with Rising Star. Horses, porn, money laundering, mafia connections, embezzlement, fraud.... This is going to make a great movie.

https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/318800/drake-interplanetary-buccaneer-reference-images#latest CIG has decided to push forward with the Buccaneer, releasing another piece of concept art to give pirate players the dogfighter that the Cutlass was supposed to be. The thread itself is hilarious as backers vomit forth every possible piece of concept art they can imagine. quote:Now, since it can be hard to get inspired on just a name, here are the details we can share right now:

Games get pushed back," Roberts said. "By the time you hear about a game, it's probably been in development for three years and already had a whole bunch of delays. There's a whole bunch of stuff that I know from when I was at EA, working with Microsoft--loads of games got cancelled, loads of games got pushed back. Things always took much longer than anyone thought. But the general public isn't aware." quote:"Now you have a million game designers, a million arm chair developers, a million CEOs [telling us what to do]," Roberts explained.
