I was really impressed when I first heard this dude featured on one of Deniro Farrar's songs. From those of you who know his stuff what is the one must-have mixtape/album I should hear?

Nostalgia 64 is his best album imo, but 32 ZEL (the one that came out last year) is good too. Dude has a ton of energy and mixes in that double-time flow well. Also welcome back John Brown.

To the sun's savage brightness he exposed the dark and secret surface of his retinas, so that by burning the memory of vengeance might be preserved, and never perish.
Denzel is cool because he is clearly a throwback to early Three 6 but isn't aping their sound directly. Kind of carrying on where they left off.

I'm on about the dozen straight through listen of TLOP and it's great...not MBDTF great but better than Yeezus.

One thing though is that now as I listen to it as well as reading his tweets....this might be his saddest sounding album yet, even moreso than 808's. I can't help but to think during his boasts of bravado and how many chicks he's hosed and how rich he is that he still isn't happy with his life and he might never be. It seems like his art is all he has and with getting stiffed in the fashion culture it's really eating at him.

And then there's the fact he's a legit crazy person but that's not here nor there......

The first fiveish tracks are drat near perfection in setup production and execution though...wow

Yeah, it usually takes me a while to get through albums because I get hung up playing songs on repeat but TLOP I've just been playing all the way through, it works so well as a whole. The max b thing is unnecessary though.

Also not a fan of the religious stuff.

It's not like he's a Christian rapper, it's just one facet of his music. It doesn't really affect my opinion of him and his music just saying I'm not going to listen to prayers and jesus skits if I'm near the skip button.

What other tracks are similar to Watch The Throne (more specifically Gotta Have It) where two rappers just play hot potato with their lines during their bars, not going verse for verse like usual features?

This happens every so often on RTJ2, but nowhere near enough. I hope 3 has a lot more of it actually because I really enjoy it too

Waves is the best song on the album.

Although I don't really know how I feel about the album as a whole. I enjoy parts of each individual song, but there are things that I don't like about parts of it. Like 30 Hours is a pretty good song, but the last part where he kept talking bullshit and used Andre to just sing 30 hours over and over.

I thought I knew a bunch of awesome songs that do this but it turns out I don't, I was just thinking of verse trade-offs where the second rapper picks up the same rhyme as the first, which is still kind of neat. Anyway, there's always AssMilk.
