"better battery stats" but you need root for useful information to be harvested.

Onenote with the S-pen rules, because your hand-written notes show up hand-written on your cloud-connected devices like PC or whatever as well.

What is battery saver mode? If it didn't break things, why have it toggle at all and if it does, why are you surprised?

What happens when battery saver is turned on
Battery saver limits vibration, location services, and most background data. Email, messaging, and other apps that rely on syncing may not update until you open them. You also won't be able to use Google Maps Navigation while using battery saver.

It turns on at 15% when the auto battery saver is enabled.

That thing that happens automatically when the phone is at 15% so maybe your phone will live as a phone until it reaches a charger.

Only it reads like Mogomra is turning it on at like 90% because he thinks Google didn't think about power management at all.

That's a pretty stupid assumption to make, but even if I did, why would that make my point that Google Voice isn't as good as real text messages any less valid?

Are you guys that bent out of shape that I've used Google Voice for years and have come to the conclusion that I don't think it's as good as normal text messages? How does LastInLine not know about Battery Saver mode? Where the hell am I?

I didn't know about it because I've never let my phone reach 15%. You don't know where you are because:

Anyone else use DashClock? For the past few days, I've not been able to get the weather to show up on the widget despite uninstall/removing/re-adding the widget. I've disabled/re-enabled the extension as well, I've even tried BetterWeather but it seems to do nothing at all. Rebooted my phone as well.

Any suggestions?

I use DashClock as a home screen widget though I don't use Better Weather anymore. Now I just use Weather Timeline which has a DashClock extension. Before that I used Arcus' DashClock widget.

Thanks, it looks like BetterWeather had an update just this morning that fixed the issue- at least with that extension. So its working fine for me now.

I like moonreader pro; its pretty focussed on reading books, not a generic screen reader. It has a decent book manager view, and can sync reading positions via gdrive/dropbox which is handy if you use multiple devices.

If you use calibre to manage your library on your desktop, calibre companion works well with the above setup.

Speaking of cars, I'm looking for something that might not exist.

I'd like to be able to see a clock and initiate voice commands on my phone when it's in my car, but I'd also like to minimize the battery usage so I can get more of a charge than I would if the screen was fully on. Basically, something for my ~25 minute commute that'll let me see what time it is, maybe turn on a bit more when I receive notifications, call people / text people with voice commands, but not have the screen fully on the entire time.

This is probably a stupid question because lolAndroid, but is it just me or is Android Auto a painfully laggy poo poo show? I just got a new car that supports it, and while once you get it going it seems just fine, holy poo poo is it slow on touches.

My coworker has an iPhone and we plugged it in to try out Car Play, and it's so, so much nicer. What the gently caress.

I'm sure there's a way to do this but my brain is broken at the moment.

Here's what I would like to do:

1. I want to hear the ringtone for contacts when they call or text and everyone else it vibrates the phone
2. I want to vibrate only for every other notification on the phone (facebook/gmail/whatever)

I'm thinking a mixture of Do Not Disturb will accomplish this but I can't remember if Do Not Disturb only silences and you're unable to get vibrations.

Set both ringtone and notification sound to none then assign special ringtones to the contacts?

On all my devices you can just go into wireless settings and turn on tethering which H then gives your tablet a wifi network to connect to.

Of course you might have a poo poo carrier with a poo poo carrier-branded device that blocks this...
