On the director posting the "Your Fired" link, the speculation around the leavers centered on them leaving in spite of CIG's attempt to keep them and/or the leavers planning to make a message by their leaving. In that case, I could see this post as a passive aggressive warning that the leavers better keep quiet about star citizen.

The entire story and gameplay footage was shot with many A list actors including Gary Oldman, Mark Hamill and Mark Strong at the Imaginarium Studios in London using performance and motion capture, which was then edited in Avid Media Composer. As the Assistant Editor for this production my responsibilities included: • Ingesting/syncing rushes • Working with marked up scripts and shoot notes to prepare sequences for the editor • Preparing and exporting over 100 hours of turnover for VFX, animation and audio • Exporting over 1,000 uniquely named files for delivery • Ensuring over 30TBs of media is securely backed up in various locations on multiple drives

What reason would a person working a job possibly have to post this article, publicly, on their twitter? Must be butthurt AF.
