Since I loaned out my cam a few months back and it's looking like it's not coming back, time to get a new one. Last time I was looking the G1W was king, now it seems like the Mobius is the current recommended cam? For what it's worth, a fair chunk of my driving is done at night. Has anyone tried to add solar charging to their cam setup?

That's one big advantage to getting a cam with a little screen on the back. I can look and see the little red dot and have some indication that it's actually recording rather than just being powered on. My X1 came with buggy firmware and I probably would never have noticed otherwise.

The mobius has a little red led on the back that flashes when you turn it on, then stays on when you record. I've gotten used to checking that it powers on (due to loose USB socket), but not to keep watching it to ensure the recording it has started, since I have set it to auto-record ever since I bought it.
