So I noticed that after about 6 months on vet prescribed science diet for urinary problems, ollie's coat is way more coarse than it used to be when I was feeding him the natural balance stuff. Is there something I can do to fix that? I miss my soft silky slinky kitty, he's a bit more scruffy looking now, even with brushing. He got stress urinary problems so I had to switch. He started peeing blood after a home vet visit (boyfriends parents are vets and gave him shots and a chip and poo poo), but has not had any problems since.

Is it wet food or dry food? If there's a wet food version try that instead of dry food.

I've been using both. He gets wet food in the morning and dry in the evening. I put a bit of water in with the dry, which he loves. I should up the amount of wet food then. Supplements all seem hardly worth it, and are mostly made from fish, which seems like a recipe for disaster for a cat with urinary issues in the first place!

Be worried if your cat pukes frequently until nothing comes out except digestive fluid or bile. That's not normal.

Yeah some cats are just "gently caress YEAH FOOD" and eat till they puke, either often or sometimes. Or they eat and then they eat grass and then you get a nice mix of undigested cat food bits and unchewed, undigested grass. Cats are gross.

Also in the cat needs urinary food has slightly less awesome coat. But I'll do what the vet says because she knows her stuff and I like my cats not peeing blood.
