Both of them are as flat as boards. Seriously, Fujiko's name literally translates out to "the mountain peaks of Fuji". You're either getting a Caucasian actress or you're putting effort into Hitomi Tanaka crossing over from porn into mainstream films. I'm sure Japanese fans would approve either way over Kikuchi or Okamoto as Fujiko.

I'm pretty sure that with a world population of over six billion, there's at least one woman who fits in the center of a Venn diagram of "Japanese," "English speaking actress," and "honking great zonkers" just waiting to be discovered.

Actually it's more "child of Fuji peak", but that's because of the -ko. If you really want to break it down "峰" means "peak" or "summit" or "ridge". "不二" is the kanji for Mt. Fuji. So her name is indeed "Fuji peak", a boob joke.

As I recall, Mezieres sued Besson after the latter did 5th Element. Mez is the artist on Valerian for the non-francophones. There's no doubt Besson used a bunch of elements of Circles of Power. I wonder what Christin (the writer) thinks If they're friends now that's cool though. Besson is a huge weirdo and intensely hit&miss but I think he could pull off a Valerian & Laureline movie.
