Green Intern posted:ES The only limits on who can attempt to god are the people who were gods last time can't be gods this time, and people who were gods the time before that get a -10 cooldown modifier to their 1d100 roll. Wisping is always an option for nonGods but is being slightly tweaked next era.

Green Intern posted:ES Absolutely! You won't have bonus points to help your initial roll, but the highest you could be facing right now is... +8? On a d100 roll. Not too bad! Participation as a wisp builds up Points anyhow though.

First, we were free. Then, we were slaves to a Tyrant. But first, we were free. That’s what sustained us while we worked down below in the mines. He worked us to death, you know - he wanted us to drain the Lakes so that he and his brood of monsters could pour over the land unchallenged, but if we all died first he was fine with that too. All because of some great sin our ancestors had committed - something to do with the Great Curse. He never told us why he did it - he just told us where to dig. Then, the Goddess came. Capricious, alien, and wild. She gave us hope. She gave us powers. She sent us allies. She set us up against the Tyrant - and then she left! With the half-hearted whimsy of a spirit, She left us to fight him. We were like stalactites crashing against the floor - we struck sparks against his immensity, but we were shattered. We hid away as he hunted us until - miracle of miracles - the Surfacers descended into our hell and they KILLED HIM! We dared to hope - and then those two fools struck down one of the Surfacer Gods! I didn’t even watch the slaughter, didn’t stay to listen to the screams. If I’ve learned anything in my life, it’s when to fold them and run. -O- I made for the surface. It was the process of days - I stopped periodially and scribbled on the wall with what was left of my stylus. Didn’t have the heart to work any Mangamancy, but I scribbled a chibi Deesix for old time’s sake. I couldn’t get the image of his crown falling and shattering out of my head. I threw my stylus to the ground, and it broke too. Everything breaks, eventually, and nothing can fix it. -O- I broke through into daylight - and saw a shadow standing over me. I cringed in fear - pathetic - but my terror was unfounded. It was one of those strange creatures the Goddess had sent us; the Verre. Its ears twitched in what I recognized as confused amusement, then it pulled me up and out of the ground. It looked me over, then broke into a sprint towards the horizon, waving me to follow. It moved fast and effortlessly, and I couldn’t keep up. I didn’t care - that was the first real joy I’d seen in months. I would follow that smile anywhere. -O- It’s been nearly a year now. I’ve been travelling with the Sliverglass tribe, living as they live. It took them a while to really accept me - and even now they seem aloof, sometimes - but my friend, Murano, assures me that they’re “just like that” and that I shouldn’t take it seriously. In truth, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Another thing - these guys LOVE Mangamancy. They can’t get enough of it. It’s tough to get good quality Dicestone up here, but the Glass is top notch. My new stylus is more than enough to draw even on this crappy stone, and every day I have them asking me to draw something else. In exchange, I get basically free rein within their community. I can scarcely believe the freedom they’ve given me!

AJ_Impy posted:C. As you have been healed, taken from the depths and brought into a far happier life, so too should you heal in turn, helping the Verre become healthier. Vote this please. Medical manga are the best manga in part because they cover the horrible hot shitpile that the Japanese version of the AMA is in an accessible and less horribly soul killing way.
