I've never gotten any tingles or whatever but ASMR videos help me calm back down when I have actual panic/anxiety attacks (not stupid tumblr sad-pouts, but actual 'is this a heart attack or not' panics). Bob Ross videos work best, and the guided meditation ones are good for putting me to sleep.

I assume asmr is a real feeling people get, but it is also funny that it was necessary to have it as an excuse to enable girlfriend/female interaction simulators. Even the audience for such a product are too ashamed to accept it outright so need a less shameful cover story.
