If I already have REmake and RE0 is there any real reason to get the HD port other than it being HD, having trophies, and getting to use a ds4 instead of a wavebird?

They both add non-tank camera relative controls that make them super easy but other than that I don't think there are any differences other than HD graphics.

RE0 actually looks pretty great thanks to them finding the original resource files, also it has a dumb Wesker mode extra which looks pretty stupid. Other than that neither has any real benefit except on PC where they run at 60fps, you can mod out the door opening scenes and add back the original audio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sdp28ve-6Aw

Capcom is having a sale on it's titles right now including Resident Evil Games For Steam. RE 4/5/ and 6 bundle is currently 30 bucks but you don't get the DLC with it so that's a letdown  Edit: Remake and RE 0 HD are over 20 bucks for the whole set so thats not bad

theres a new trailer for RE7 that just has the player playing hide and seek with a murderous grandma in a very similar sort of building as the demo. i hope they show off some combat and cool environments soon

You can get the games individually for cheaper than 57 bucks with all the DLC though without revelations. When you buy the 57 pack you are getting RE6 with no dlc and possibly 5 without dlc.

REMake is a horror game. 4 is an action game with some horror mixed in. 5 and 6 are straight action. It depends what you want. I never bothered with Revelations 1 because I didn't like the way it looked, but Revelations 2 is... polarizing. I liked it, but didn't think it was fantastic, and most others seemed to hate it.

I'm a bit late to the RE7 chat - is it related to the other games? Like with Umbrella and zombies and stuff? I saw a trailer but had to check I was watching the right thing because it looked like another "first person run and hide from thing" game like Amnesia or Outlast or Alien Isolation.
