That said, I would like to see that become a real part of paralysis: special attacks are unaffected while physical attacks are much more frequently stopped. To make up for that, we could give, say, poison the same effect for special attacks.

Hard Mode as a thing would be nice to see in Pokemon games even if you had to beat it once to unlock the difficulty. b/w/b2/w2 implemented it poorly though though i guess they probably consider the rematch stuff to be that already

I never understood why frozen status didn't just last for, like, a guaranteed 5 turns or something. There has to be some sort of compromise between never ending on its own and a 1/5 chance it fades instantly.

5 turns of "you cannot attack" is awful. At least sleep has several moves and abilities based around it along with paralysis.
