EA is working on ~10 games, therefore you shouldn't expect them any earlier than 2047.
When two games are done in parallel, you are allowed to add their development times in series :pseudo:

He is using the Citizen measurement of development for sequels. Once a game is released, the sequel is immediately in development. Then you need to add a few more years since most developers think about a sequel while the original game is being made. So it took six years, and over a thousand people (everyone who ever touched it, worked in legal, catering, or was a voice actor for a foreign language).

But Star Citizen, that was done in 3 years. Anything longer doesn't count. Stop spreading FUD.

Witcher 1 - Release date(s) 26 October 2007
Witcher 3 - May 19, 2015

So in half the time it took a new studio to make three games, Chris Roberts has come up with Alpha 2.5 with promises for Alpha 4.0 sometime in 2017. We're not even in beta territory by year five. At that point CD Project has put out two games that were very well received.

Don't worry! Everyone thought 2015 would be the last one. CIG even managed to raise more money this go round if the funding chart is to be believed. There doesn't seem to be anything CIG can do to stop the funding. Well, except release a game. But even then I suspect most the extreme donors would still believe the game they want is coming in the patch after the next patch.

What is it with shitizens and weird typos / spelling errors?
Normally, there's a set of errors you see repeated by nearly everyone everywhere.

Star Citizen fanatics, though, tend to make really weird and uncommon ones, and they persist from post to post (smeer, every bodies).

Wasn't he a communications person at some state school beforehand? Not the most glamorous of jobs, but I'm guessing it put a roof over his head.

Lethality's response is to "research it" but it's clear that's just a response to try to dismiss any criticism, we had a politician here in Australia who kept telling journos to go "google it" whenever anyone questioned his policies.

I'd love to compile a list of what CIG actually has managed to do first, but really there's just nothing to put on it.

Lethality says SQ42 is ahead of production schedule relative to the average development period of similar games.

Based on what?

There's apparently no part of the game that exists in a presentable, non-embarrassing state that CIG could show at Citcon. We saw nothing of the purported 20 hours of cinematics. It's been eleven months since CIG released the "Old Man" teaser with a few low-quality seconds of Hamill's character.

For all that CIG has shown, there is no SQ42 game. There's hardly a concept.

It's just bizarre how NMS emboldened Shitizens rather than allowing them to see parallels between NMS and SC.
