I SA'd it by clearing out the kitchen and peeling off his entourage one at a time. Interesting tip: After I got his personal bodyguard, leaving him alone, he proceeded to walk to the security room. (I didn't let him get there.)

We don't need to have that dialogue because it's obvious, trivial, and has already been had a thousand times.
One reason I hope they bring back the ETs in some form is it's becoming clear that the entire community is routinely missing whole routes and planned events or lines within the ETs that are lost forever when they end. Did anyone try poisoning the french contact's drink on the Ex-dictator, as is an option?

It doesn't look like they've added any particular comments to the suits, though, which is a pity. I thought they'd have something to say about the shabby state of the Terminus one other than “nice gloves” — especially since it doesn't include any gloves.

I'm guessing that they have an “elusive target suit” flag that triggers some lines, since all the previous ones do, and this is the first one to deviate from that norm.

I kinda want them to make ET mashups, just throwing various ETs into the same mission. Maybe not even necessarily as targets, just complications to your real goal. Could even be an escalation ET like already suggested. Some sort of experimental mission category where they just try out weird poo poo would be cool to me, even if they weren't super polished. Some anti-47 secret agents being under cover while you do your mission, or perhaps being hired to stop one or more hitmen gunning for your client.

That ET was a comedy of errors. First I couldn't figure out a foolproof way to apply the poison, then after I knocked out a guard on the ET's route, I forgot to pick up the guard's gun. That led to my poorly-hidden remote mine being discovered and removed.

When I got the remote mine back and went to re-place it, I screwed up the timing and the ET walked in on me placing the bomb. He was really cool about it, though, and walked over to take a look at my handiwork.

I excused myself and triggered the remote when I got to a safe distance.

The upgrade pack contains 2 (plus there's supposed to be a 3rd? that you would get for free when it comes out) extra mini episodes. I don't think you can buy them separately at the moment, but I heard talk that they would be bundled for near the price of a regular episode once they all come out. I think that edges it out for the upgrade pack. It's also 50% off on Steam right now.

Edit: Wait, I double checked the prices and it's really hard to say unless we know the prices of the bonus episodes.

On PS4 are the camera flashes new? I noticed a new npc on the steps to the palace getting her picture taken and Hans' photographer's camera flashed. I might be misremembering. Also is the fireplace in the kitchen new? I definitely don't remember that

This morning I did the Sapienza escalation that ends with the plague doctor katana murderfest and am now doing the one where you have to kill the scientist drinking with the gardener in the basement. The latter has that complication of hiding all dead bodies within 90 seconds that I've got around by sprinting around the basement beaning everyone in my way with my 5 cans of expired tomato sauce. Today this game went from "one of my favorite games of the year" to my GOTY.

Because I almost managed to do that with ET but it also accidentally caught one non-target in the explosion and I want to know how pissed I'm supposed to be.

I think you're good, I did almost the exact same and didn't get an SA rating. I might've gotten detected at an earlier instance of me sneaking around though. I was having connection problems (surprisingly for the first time in all 60-ish hours of gameplay) and I kinda said gently caress it and went with the fastest solution.

There aren't quicksaves (probably because they would need to be cloud synced), but it does autosave every 3 minutes.

SA'd by poisoning the caviar; didn't unlock Terminus, but I DID unlock the Blood Money suit, even though it was only my seventh Elusive Target to kill...

I really like Escalations. Tell me if I'm being crazy here but I almost feel like the actual missions are extended tutorials for each area while Escalation Contracts are the real meat of the game.
It's specifically because Escalations are mostly more difficult than normal missions and more importantly because you cannot save scum through them.

I hope they introduce more kinds of content that prevents you from saving mid-game.

Yeah the game is definitely not meant to just fly through each level. View the game with the main objective being level 20 mastery of every level and it's much more fun than just playing an episode and then moving on to the next.

Sort of agree, but there are a lot of escalations, especially in Paris, that are just really sloppy. So at their best they're my favorite part of the game, but you can tell they are starved for design attention.

Yeah, you can really see the progression in design from the early stuff in Paris — most of which are either just testing map knowledge or pure gimmicks — to the genuine gameplay challenges of Hokkaido and Colorado, or even Bangkok. And since the publishing schedule was what it was, we end up with Paris overflowing with early learning attempts, whereas later episodes have far fewer, but far more interesting and complex designs.

The guards in his escort are "stalkers", a concept IOI were toying with in Colorado. If you cross their line of sight, they will path toward you. Consider taking advantage of this to pick them off one at a time- or lead them away and circle back around to the target.

Only played Paris a couple of times and really liked it, so looking forward to the rest of the game.

Himmapan Horror was on the start screen so I took a quick look. The challenges talk about murdering like 5 targets at a time, but the mission only has two, how does that work?

Also whats the criteria for not being spotted? Does it matter if the guys you kill spot you? Is there an obvious sign if you are spotted?

You have to do them in custom contracts in the Bangkok level, whether created by yourself or someone else.

Pretty sure the criteria is if the status above the minimap changes to anything besides "Investigating", you're spotted. Killing the spotter doesn't help. Also you can't get seen by a security camera unless you delete the evidence.

Spotted is found trespassing, suspicious, any time the detection arrow fills all the way up and you get a screen flash with someone yelling at/about you. Killing the person doesn't change that, unfortunately.

I couldn't figure out if Himmapan Horror could be done on the regular mission map but if you Google your platform and Himmapan Horror contracts you can find ones people made where they've chosen people as targets that you can kill to do the challenges with only moderate difficulty.

User-made contracts. There are probably now contracts made specifically to fulfill the challenge.

Don't think it matters if the target spots you, but if anyone else makes the border around your minimap change and status goes to "suspicious" you have been spotted.

Also cameras, of course.
