What's the best way to make money solo this update? Is it still motorcycle businesses or is the car boosting viable and profitable?

It's still getting a job and buying shark cards. second is still grinding pac standard third now seems to be stealing and selling cars, as long as the game gives you high end ones and easy theft missions, some of them are straight up bullshit.

Oh, hey, apparently if you're alone in a session selling a car and someone joins, they can instantly vote kick you and you lose the car and upgrades. That's awesome.

Due to hyperinflation of the San Andreas economy by the Federal Reserve Bank of Rockstar Games a sustainable cost of living has been rendered nonviable, let alone profitable. Just fill up your drug businesses with supplies then go collect boxes or steal cars or whatever. In the end, it's all kinda the same.

Every other vehicle stealing mission breaks for me. It says "Steal the [whatever]" and when you get into the car, it just refuses to ever update. There was one that made me use a Cargobob and despite being in the thing flying, the stupid mission always just said "Get in the Cargobob." Super fun.

cheesing car thefts with the cargo bob so easy i'm getting a cooldown on car sourcing, and stacking up top teir cars faster than i can sell them. You should get your cargobob working slim, it's really cool and good.

For a few minutes of fun, do a Car Sourcing mission, then cargobob that poo poo onto the top of the FIB building and try and defend it from pubbies. Or do it with someone elses car.

I was trying to hijack a guy's stolen supercar with a cargobob to stick it on top of the bank and he escaped me, so i went and parked the cargobob over the entrance to the garage i figured he was going to. when he tried to go in, i landed on him and when i took off, it grabbed the car, and immediately went to the cutscene it does when you return your own stolen cars with a cargobob and added his stolen car to my garage. I thought it was awesome, him not so much

I was doing the mission with the Rocket Voltic where you have to hack four different targets, so I went for the furthest one, made my way over in an okayish time, shot the driver, shot his armed escort, and then the mission suddenly failed due to time. I was absolutely sure we hadn't run out of time, so we restarted and the game spawned us at the city with the hacking part complete and the final 30 second stretch of the mission to complete. I guess that's fine?

if you own the ruiner 2000 you can launch a freeroam activity similar to headhunter where you have to destroy a number of turreted limos....or ignore them completely and spend 15 minutes going on a pubbie murder rampage with an explosive resistant, infinite homing rocket firing flying muscle car. also, rocket voltic + skatepark halfpipe = kerbal car program.

Is it true that exiting your Ruiner 2000 and getting back into it again refills your rocket ammo? Or do you have to go all the way to one of your garages?

So, since I got the full CEO garage I decided to get the Moonbeam since I sold it for space previously and discovered that, if you buy the auto shop upgrade then Benny's is obsolete. That seems like kind of a bad move to me, also found an aggravation with the car sales, specifically the collections. It turns out it's not just any car of that model, you need to randomly get the right license plate on it too.

Is the Omnis known for being particularly sensitive to gunfire? I got a source mission with one (The DUI theft) and it exploded after suffering slightly more than $1000 in damage from cop pistols and one minor crash.

I think some stuff is just buggy. I stole a Z-type and hadn't taken any damage. As soon as I made it out of the driveway of the place I stole it at it started on fire, got $34k in damage, then exploded.

Make sure you're the "host" or first one in a session when stealing cars. The cars explode less and the hcargobob doesn't randomly drop them. I actually made my investment back in a little over a night, and there's enough variety in the missions to make your money back before you get bored of it. It's probably the only good update in a long time, even if the cars are crazy expensive.

Bloops Crusts posted:What's the best way to make money solo this update? Is it still motorcycle businesses or is the car boosting viable and profitable? Stealing and selling cars is decent money and pretty fun, and really best solo unlike all the other recent update activities which were best in large groups, like the CEO / Biker stuff. The only issue is its totally random what kind of car you get, the low end cars aren't worth much at all. The high end ones with upgrades make you 80k profit though which is really great. The biggest problem though obviously is you have to be in a public lobby and if some dipshit comes by in a harrier jet he can blow up your car when you're 5 feet from delivering it, and you get $0 for all your work (stealing + delivering) plus you're out all the money you spent on repairs + the money you spend on upgrades, so you end up losing like $25K for all your time and effort. If you find a chill lobby then sell cars. Otherwise just grind out like headhunter missions and motorcycle businesses. Powershift posted:Make sure you're the "host" or first one in a session when stealing cars. The cars explode less and the hcargobob doesn't randomly drop them. Yeah its actually fun which is an upside, although having to buy into it is lame in typical R* fashion to try to get you to buy shark cards. I'm glad that in a game called Grand Theft Auto we can actually make money stealing cars now, where before you just had the lovely Simeon thing once in awhile and otherwise you did missions to kill people and rob banks and stuff that is not grand theft auto. Also I really love that when you do the full upgrade for a car you stole, you get to pick the choices, and its just a flat $20k regardless of what you pick so you can have fun with it. Each car you steal and sell is like a free chance to customize a silly car. And lets you drive around cars you can't afford yet and customize them how you'd like them if you could afford them. That's all very good design, fits GTAO well. Zaphod42 fucked around with this message at 23:05 on Dec 17, 2016 |

I just kill the GTAV ports and hang out by myself in a public lobby selling cars. The only thing that sucks is the hyper-aggressive loving laser aim AI that every mission in this update has. Open ports and jump over to grab goons when you need to sell more than one at once.

Hasn't the AI always had pinpoint accuracy? I recall getting pistol sniped by a street cop out of a jet more than once. Did they make it worse?

I've actually died a few times just trying to deliver a car, I definitely think it's much worse. They also spawn the enemy cars DIRECTLY in your driving path, and the traffic AI now intentionally swerves into your lane or just flat out STOPS when crossing your path. It's bullshit.

Just account for it. You're gonna lose $5k getting the car with the helicopter's pinpoint marksmanship, you're gonna lose $5k selling with cars appearing out of nowhere and firing 800 rounds into your rear bumper while you drive 3 miles away and he just sits there pinging shots off you.
