Minnesota style pizza is feta cheese, jalapenos, kebab meat, onions and smetana.

Sounds ghastly. Would totally eat it. Related: anchovies + jalapenos = best pizza combo. Anything else is amateur hour.

Rick and Morty is bad and unfunny. So is The Big Bang Theory, but I don't think that's an unpopular opinion.

I like The Big Bang Theory. It's just stupid jokes wrapped in nerd references. Add in them saying "gently caress" a whole bunch and it's Silicon Valley.

Collateral Damage posted:Granted I only watched half a season or so before deciding it's not worth my time, but it seemed most of their "humor" consisted of "Look at these people being socially awkward, aren't they funny? Here's a laugh track so you know it was meant to be funny." There are some attempts at jokes but mostly it's just beating you over the head with references, much like Family Guy (which is also terribly unfunny). There is absolutely nothing redeeming about any of the characters and, although scientists/engineers in general tend toward the socially awkward side, the level that these characters take it is so over the top that even the most nerdy shut-in I know would shun them socially and professionally.

i'm happy about Big Bang Theory because it made some genius think up the term "nerd blackface" and a bunch of people from on-line & goons wrote incredibly stupid, but funny words about how making fun of nerdy stuff is comparable to sexism & racism, and how making light pop culture references is cultural appropribation if you reveal stuff like how Batman is Bruce Wayne to regular people

The only time I see Bing Bang Theory mentioned anywhere is people calling it out for being terrible. People who actually work as physicists, or whatever is is they do on the show, are the ones who should be upset at it. They probably don't spend their free time playing Star Trek trivia with their roommates.

Hating it because it's not funny and the references are uninteresting is fine, hating it because you are offended by the portrayal of nerds is weird. Nerd "culture" is terrible and even though many/most/all people in the field are nerds by anyone's definition, it is very unpopular to act like one at work. The nerdiest behavior I've seen is people getting a bit too excited about new Star Wars movies, but it's still nowhere close to the poo poo they do/say on that show. e: that said I do get a little offended when my parents compare me to characters on the show, especially sheldon.

Mixed vegetables including small cuts of green beans, corn, peas, small cubed carrots, and topped with tator tots. And now I want to make this and eat it and post it in the anti-food porn thread.
