In the last 500 years, the Fourth Stimpire has dominated four systems, which it has united into one starzone, Stimsis. The Fourth Stimpire has origins from the Ten Empire War in which 10 of the United Stimpires revolted against each rules. All empires except for the fourth swore freedom upon their citizens. There is no free speech in the Fourth Stimpire, and all self-controlled transportation has been made illegal without undergoing painful medical verification methods, in which arteries are severed without pain resistant, operated entirely by machines. The way they work claim to be the most hygenic and healthy way possible, but these machines often rub against pain points, causing great deals of pain to patients. The heart is then extracted from the body and placed into a glass grinding machine. Various energy centers are also dissected and replaced with dangerous transplants. After the painful, 52 hour surgical procedure, patients will then have to use a fused guidance tool, which pumps painful resistors into the body every 2 hours. The pain they have caused is so bad, the victim would freeze in a tense position. They would then collapse afterwards.

Sexual stimulation in any way within the grounds of the Fourth Stimpire is strictly prohibited, and anyone detected even touching their sexual organs will be subjected to a penectomy or if the offender was a female, they would then have a razor inserted into their ovaries. They would pump a blue solution into the womb until the stitchings burst. Offenders would also be forced to show their operated areas in public, and they would always harass and punch them to a pulp, against their will.

Otherwise, offenders would be tazed with the worst type of electricity in the systematic district, causing so much pain, the victim would scream and flail in madness. The pain would also triple every second, but no death would be incurred. This is also used in combat against enemy units, which is why all UEE forces must wear the upgraded suit to block this effect.

However, enertainment is also questionable in UEE grounds. Sporting events end with the losing team being rounded into a grinder and shredded on live television, boxing matches end with the loser having their hands removed without anasthesia, flight races would end with the losers having their arms and legs removed, then being injected with insanity, for entertainment. People are also forced into these events, by undergoing a painful 127 hour procedure which involves tweaking the muscles so they will not listen to brain commands, and then having a painful drug injected which also causes madness if the player is not sporting. This is all for entertainment, and anyone not watching any of it during sporting times and cheering for the winning team, they will be imprisoned into galactic camps.

Snuff films are also broadcast, and actors are actually murdered just for entertainment. Stealth droids also guide these forced actors into behaving exactly as the director dreams, otherwise they will be punished by being placed into a macerator and having their execution written into the film. Any film that does not feature someone being murdered will be burned and the entire crew behind it will be executed in the most grotesque way possible - vivisection.

All executions are broadcast, and anyone who misses even a millisecond, even by blinking, will be executed. All citizens must boo to the person being executed, and the family is gathered to be injected with eternators, which cause pain forever, making them immoral but feeling the pain tenfold every millisecond. They cannot pass out, but they will feel like it forever.

Conquests by this Stimpire end in the planet being razed, and all the citizens being executed in the same way as their citizens are. The planet is then destroyed and all remnants of it are removed, and any memories of it will be erased instantly from civil minds. People who are also killed are also erased from memories, and all memories of them, including toys and pictures, are destroyed.

Prisoners undergo 40,000 years of relentless and endless labor, and anyone not complying is sentenced to the eternator injection. All prisoners injected with eternators are placed into capsules and launched into far space, then the room is closed tight to ensure maximum insanity. Some prisoners are also subjected to the removal of blood, the lungs, the liver, the genitals, the skeleton, the muscles, the eyes, and even the injection of pressure. Prisoners sentenced to pressure chambers are locked in until they are inflated to a high level. The decompression is then stopped to make sure they are inflated and uncomfortable.

Children born on the 14th of July are subjected to the removal of their skeleton and an implant of a silver liquid to replace it. The nervous sysem is also injected in various parts to ensure it is five times more sensitive than the average.

Restaurants also are ordered to serve civil meat, and anyone attending must give themself up to be cooked into a grotesque meal. They are cooked alive, undergoing extreme pain, and are then subjected to industrial grinders and blenders. The Stimpire orders at least 1 million citizens to be dispatched every day, as they are afraid the population may overthrow them. But only one planet is cared for, and the rest are banned from eating, drinking, talking, using technology, touching anyone, wearing unauthorized clothes, touching buildings, or walking a centimeter out of designated routes. Civil enforcers are on every planet, and they are engineered so that they are 40 times larger than the 300 quadrillion population. At least 7 billion die every 12 hours under this rule.

Thoughts are also surveyed, and anyone who does not think anything to loving the Stimpire with more than their capabilities will be sentenced to a prison. Prisoners who are punished for this violation will meet their greatest fear, only to have it amplified so they will turn insane as they imagine it exactly as they fear it. They then undergo a painful extraction of all fluids, to be replaced by a toxin which causes permanent irritation. The unknown substance keeps the subject aging normally, except they will never die. Prisoners punished in this way are unable to be reverted, despite many efforts, and they will never be able to be disposed.

The sickening truths have been revealed only today, and invigilation teams are still investigating the truths without setting foot in the galactic space of this sickening empire.

Sometimes, in this thread, I start to feel that we're hating Chris, Sandi, Ben, etc a little too much. And then I think: "They KNOW this is a sham. They know exactly what their doing." And I hate them intensely all over again.

We say it often, not to be cruel, but because it's absolutely (and horribly) true. People will commit suicide over this stupid, stupid game.

This is a good post, and I concur. They can keep living the dream as long as that fat gently caress keeps making promises he can't keep that the cultists willingly lap up. I mean hell, look how much they've doubled down on 3.0 now. 1000+ person servers have already been shunted, cargo hauling is now limited to a click and drag approach (that I'm sure won't be anything more than that anyways, loving manual loading, lol). It's the same reason why degrading these people that fund this nightmare machine is also justified. They will never be able to say, "well, nobody told me!" because they just refuse to believe anyone would take advantage of them.

It's not incompatible.

Mocapping a few animations that end up blending into other animations is all fine and good, because its usually a brief second or two of animation that your anim team has to hand scrub anyway.

Mocapping an entire performance gets tricky. If you're not 100% confident of the take, you can have a lot of problems. You get weird wandering heads, eye darting, jiggling jowls, hands and arms and legs clipping through clothes and backgrounds and other characters and a whole lotta other weird poo poo you gotta clean up by hand. These happen no matter how good your take is anyway, but the problems get more severe the less you understand about the technology and the more you utilize it. What might look great on the screen can be very, very hard to translate into a great performance.

What you end up doing, usually, is doing small point captures of various scenes. What no one has loving done because its goddamn stupid, is record 20+ hours of mocapped data. Especially if you don't have the model dimensions down, the scenery already fleshed out. Every rewrite or change is another huge amount of time, money and energy wasted.

So in walks Chris Roberts with his directorial dreams, not understanding the following:

  • for every second of footage you shoot in the mocap rigs, it can take up to a ten minutes of dev time per character to fix (sometimes more)
  • some scenes were shot with many, many characters (up to six to eight)
  • multiple clothing changes or scene changes can increase this time
  • the more characters interacting together in a scene, the more time it takes per character to animate correctly
You're talking with that 20+ hours of mocap footage alone, something like 12,000 hours of manpower at the very minimum. But wait, this only really works if these are all entirely cutscene type deals with 0 player interaction. Because then you need programmers to script the triggers for the 20+ hours of conversation you have going on.

To get that into a fully working state for 20+ hours of mocap, I'd say that's three to five years of work across art and programming teams, after the principle mocap shoot was completed. It's about fifteen times longer than your average cartoon 3d animated film AND you're trying to hit the highest fidelity ever seen in this media. That means extra work on hair, clothing, textures, shaders, everything for every single character and every single costume has to be absolutely perfect in every. single. loving. scene.

This also means any script changes or rewrites or other problems after the principle shooting has to be reshot, completely redone by the art team and then rejiggered by the programming team.

This also means that the game you're building to showcase this amazing twenty hour long opus needs to be built as well. And you're not just building a single player game, but a heavily multiplayer driven MMO style FPS action game too, with hundreds of not entirely fleshed out mechanics. And if you gently caress up and realize "poo poo, we can't get this <whatever feature> to work right, but we have an hour+ of footage important to the game that needs that feature," you need to go back and edit and reshoot and have your artists and programmers redo a bunch of work again and again and again and again and again and again

Nice info, I am going to post this to the leaks subreddit so I can see citizens quote and break down every sentence and "prove" how you're wrong

One Ring to fool them all
One Ring to find them
One Ring to milk them all
and pockets fully line them
Grimey Drawer
EXPECTED RESULT
You successfully walk forwards.
The game should have started.
All objects in FOV should be seen
Expect to operate Pilot controls normally when 2nd crew member is seated
Normal reload animation with no magazines left floating in the air and no magazine missing from the gun meanwhile.
When I quantum travel back to Port Olisar the ring should not be floating next to the station.
Targeting should make sense - not flick an array of players based on no priority. There should be an option to target enemys nearest to you or ones you are looking at - and next hostile target should toggle through the enemy in proximity order, not random order.
To aim with gimbals i need to have a pip
That white box should not be there. I think there might be a missing art asset.
Since we dont have rocket launcher or something to kill an ship from EVA, there should be an armistice zone. But if we have rocket launcher it will be ok because we will be able to take an secret exit and counter attack
The ship should stay where it is.
To shoot freely without inflicting self-damage
The asteroid to block gun fire.
Game does not crash.
I expected the ship to move forward when I apply throttle, but all I can do is pitch and yaw.
No idea, perhaps add an extra layer of whatever invisible wall normally blocks passage?
If a player has used their last respawn and have none left, if the respawn message simply went away, they would know they don't have any left.
An expected result would be a normal stair without texture/wall overlapping (and also a the "finished" wall at deck 3)
weapons should fire normally regardless of flight mode or camera view
For all NPCs to be engaging in dogfight maneuvers.
Not to have a locked camera.
I should see a door
Ship remains intact when manoeuvring and not crashing
The shop keeper should sit in his shop.
The ship should have 0% visual damage when spawned
get a normal standing in the elevator when it is going up
The character isn't holding a weapon and the normal jumping animation should be triggered instead.
The match should start on the first try, as I am connected with the proper authorization.
Game should have continued as normal. Possibly even lose some frame rate at first.
I expect ships that are not purchased with REC to show up in all areas of the game.
Success on EVA.
Chat showing.
Boarding deaths should have nothing to do with crimestats.
shields come on line in alignment with ship profile
able to use screens, select refuelling options etc in 3rd person, or be able to get back into first person view.
The ship should barely move when *touched* by a human's worth of mass.
fire weapons with no issue's
The main thrusters would move
Flight controls should remain consistent, and not fade with use.
Player geometry should not have been able to move through the floor and I should not have been able to interact with it
Open hanger, all items there. I have cancelled my subscription until this gets resolved as I PAID for some of the missing items.

CR could literally get in front of the camera and say "Yea I lied to get more sales and I lay awake most nights because I highly doubt this will ever get made" and people would still say "Wow looks like he learned his lesson lets make the BDDSSE"

We're at the point where we can point to half a dozen examples where CIG/CR unambiguously lied and they still refuse to consider the possibility. They're just "bad at communicating" or "LOL Chris is bad at dates!"
