Alright then, feeling better about that Roku pick up. Just gonna use the regular remote (non tablet) that it comes with.

The bourbon is sweeter and maybe a bit smoother, the rye has more cedar and pepper flavors. They're both really good for the price, just a matter of how much you like sweetness.

Yeah I haven't heard anyone try to shame others for their choice of beverage since my college days, ironically enough My friend's juvenile girlfriend is always talking about her taste in whiskey, how she is so not like the other girls, etc. She is universally hated for being such a try hard but she is still a kid I guess and pays my friend's bills so I personally bite my tongue. Better that she pick up his tab rather than us.

Roku is like TiVo. It's sort of hard to explain why it's so much better than everything else on the market until you play with one. Everything is exactly how you think it should be, not the way a committee at PanaSonySungZio settled on or worse, Google UI engineers designed. I've had a TiVo since 2005 and other DVRs I have used just never compare. Now they integrate the various streaming providers right into your list of shows. It is magic.

Absolutely. I've used Google, Chromecast, Sony, XBox, all kinds of stupid streaming devices, and nothing comes close to Roku. It's just so easy and intuitive.

Josh Lyman posted:Smdh how do you not go with the rye? I don't know why that never occurred to me, I will be sure to try that next time! For the last few months I've been on a whiskey spree to sample everything I can get my hands on to find my favorite, including some pricey local stuff like Oyo, but I finally settled back around on Bulliet as my all around favorite. The great irony is that, from reading on the different flavor compositions, I'm fairly certain the extra rye is why I enjoy Bulliet above the rest.

Man, as a bartender like one in three people who order a drink with Bulleit Rye immediately turn to their friends and go "have you heard of Bulleit Rye? It's so good, it's all I drink." and then I ask if they've tried some of our other more interesting rye whiskies and am met with a blank expression and no interest in trying, say, the Catoctin Creek that was aged in maple syrup barrels. Bulleit Rye is the whiskey of those who have developed a palate well enough to lord it over others, yet do not have the curiosity to explore farther. Rittenhouse is the superior rye. Today I bought a new curtain and some limes that I just juiced and made a lime collins with. It's nice.

Why? I mean why bother? There's no way you actually want people coming to your bar to drink for free, what happens when word gets out to the greater wino community that there's free booze to be had at your place?

Crawfish update: I had them seasoned from a louisana style kitchen, no dipping requred (though I kinda wish I had some butter with them now) They were delicious, and yes I suck on that head and am overall pretty thorough. Some friends stuck to just the tail..what a waste.

If you have the desire to dip your crawfish in butter, then they aren't seasoned well. If you really need butter, put some on the boil potatoes or corn
