I spent maybe $120 on a razor, a brush, blades, two different shaving soaps and a little stand for the razor & brush in early 2014.

Haven't had to spend a dime since, so amortized over three years I've managed to spend about as much per year as a two month supply of multi-blade razor cartridges :colbert:

It does, yeah. There's a magnet inside that metal pole that dips the basket into the water when it's at temperature, and pulls it out when it's done infusing.

I know different teas should be drunk at different temperatures, especially green teas. That's about the extent of my knowledge.

Two years ago I bought:
A handle $60
100 blades $12
A starter brush $9
A bowl $8
Soap $11

The only reason I've spent more to upgrade is because I want to. Everything there would last me another two years except I buy new soap every 3-6 months.

This is versus the $40 I would spend every three months on crappy cartridges and $5-15 on shaving cream every month.

Do yourself a favor and buy a speed lever from Crank Bros. I can change a tube in <5 minutes with this incredible tool. http://kk.org/cooltools/crank-brothers-1/

Also, for carrying on rides, a Park Tool MT-01 is by far the best and lightest solution. I keep mine on my keychain and it's my favorite pocket tool, bike or not. http://www.parktool.com/product/multi-tool-mt-1

Also, that pump will probably not get anywhere near the psi you need for a road tire, get a few co2 cartridges and an attachment for faster/easier/better flat fixes.

I've had mine for two plus years and I love it. It's never given me any issues and every batch is perfect. You get to actually taste the tea rather than the occasional over steep where your tea tastes like dirt.

Now start looking for expensive tea to put into it! Yes I just spent $100 on hand rolled green pearl tea, why do you ask?

The hyperbole in this post is a little out of control. $5-15 on shaving cream per month?! A can of barbasol costs at most $2 and will last at least 6 months if you shave literally every morning (and a can of fancy gel will cost $4 and last a similar amount of time). Also, while I agree cartridges are expensive/overpriced, even if you buy the top of the line, you still wouldn't spend $40 every three months unless you are using the cartridges for a week or less at a time, which is incredibly wasteful given that they will still shave just fine for ~30 days/cartridge. If you like wetshaving, that's fine, but don't try to justify it by playing with numbers.

Cartridges lasted less than a week for me. I have a pretty tough beard and they would dull fairly quickly. Plus I have sensitive skin so I couldn't take a dull razor to my face without bleeding everywhere.

So... if one method works for you, cool. You don't have to be a dick about what I like. After all I was just answering a question.

That seller is trying to take someone for a ride. Those two things are actually the same machine, just rebranded because Breville was already a registered trademark in Europe.
I got the Sage kind for about $200 on Amazon.co.uk, presumably it's realistically priced over here. (beware of that one if you're American, btw. It runs on 230 V)

Same here. I have very coarse facial hair and it seems to do a number on blades, whether they are cartridges or double edge blades. I get maybe 4 shaves before I can feel a significant difference and get skin irritation. I've also never had a can of shaving cream last more than a couple months. I get probably a year or so out of the Taylor of Old bond tubs of cream.
