If I did my calculations correctly, in 2016 Richard's ERAs were: 6.43 out of the bullpen on the Cubs (or 6.46 out of the 'pen for both teams) 2.52 on the Padres total, or just 2.41 as a starter on the Padres 3.33 for the year  To be completely honest I'd have preferred Richard as the 5th starter over the Hammel roller-coaster.
