Almost no lyrics. The main melody is done by something that sounds like a strings-only orchestral sting. It either goes C C D C G G A G A G B B C B Or F F G F C C D C D C E E F E

Abugadu posted:what speed, and what genre of music? And any rhythm stuff, like 4/4 time or breaks in between the notes Definitely 4/4. Was trying to plink out the actual notation but ran out of time. Still haven't quite figured it or the appropriate bpm out, but there's about a measure length rest between each change in the note pattern. A strong drum beat, sounds like a snare. Don't know what genre I'd call it. It's definitely a modern piece of music. There's intermitt vocalization, though I can't tell if they're actual lyrics as I've only heard it from afar. Same kind of vocals as in, for example Through the Wire, that higher pitched modulated kind of voice. That's about all I can recall. EDIT: Actually, here's a whistle recording http://vocaroo.com/i/s1zIHjGb0Y6U Adder Moray fucked around with this message at 05:26 on Apr 20, 2017 |

I overheard two songs that I cannot find again. First song sounds a lot like Guns n Roses. I was certain it was GnR at first but can't find the song in their discography (so I'm not 100% positive it was them). It's a little heavier and tighter than their usual stuff. Guitar description: power chords, slightly palm muted, mostly variations using the 1st, flat 2nd, 4th, flat 5th (F# F# F# G F# F# C B for example). I believe it was second fret (F#) but could have been tuned down some. Slightly uptempo. Second song was a rap sung over the guitar to Metallica's Sad but True. Very stacatto, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. Different lyrics. It was not Kid Rock or Snoop Dogg or anything else I've been able to google. Anyone know what these are or have a link?

Early 90's rap song. It's a reimagining of this song. Uses the same beat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEWA3xQ7pOA Except instead of rumors They say "look at all these Hookers" I think it's "look at all these hookers jackin us every day" There is an R&B guy in the background, soulfully belting out insane poo poo the whole time between verses. He sounds kind of like James Brown and a few of his lines are Gimme that boo boo brown girl please Get on your knees suck my weenie please Song was awesome I need to find it again. I lost the CD like 15 years ago.

I heard a song in the radio recently. It was like a little song about the singer's son and how he got a wife and he loved his son so much remembered that there was a line like how the son is going to be popular with the ladies like their dad, it was old-fashioned.

Hey folks can I please get some help with a Beulah song I been looking for The good news is that I know exactly which song it theoretically is, it's Me and Jesus Don't Talk Anymore. Problem is, when I was listening to Beulah maybe 10 years ago I remember the song having a more upbeat power pop tone, with horns throughout, a less morose take on the first verse, and without the country guitars. I also seem to remember it maybe having a different title, like they recorded two versions of essentially the same song with different titles on different albums? But that doesn't seem too likely, given that if I search for the lyrics, Me and Jesus is the only song title that comes up. It may have also been a cover, but I remember it sounding enough like Beulah that it'd be weird for another band to cover a Beulah song just to Beulah it up some more The only other version I can find right now is this acoustic demo, which is also nice but definitely not the one I'm looking for. Does anyone have a sense of the version I'm talking about, if it in fact exists? Thanks in advance, kind music goons

I'm looking for a song that's a slow love ballad, the the name of it is something like "Shabaloo Ding Dong Du", where the singer says in the song that the meaning of the title, which gets sung repeatedly as part of the chorus, is sweetheart. I realize this is pretty vague, if it helps with identifying at all the singer sounds a lot like Rod Stewart.

I've tried looking for a song every so often- it came up on my friend's Spotify, and we had a "wait is that..." moment- we looked at the name, promptly forgot about it and didn't think about it for a week or so and since then, it's like it never existed. So as best as I could tell it was a cover of the River Lullaby song from Prince of Egypt or had a very very similar but slowed down melody, except with a male singer and in German. It came up in a spotify channel full of german rock and metal if that helps?

Here's one that's bugging me: An funky instrumental with a little wah guitar, fast (around 150bpm), B minor? the main melody uses a Chinese-sounding flute. There's a quiet section where it's played an octave lower. It was also used in a levi's advert years ago showcasing stretchable jeans. Simply, Imagine the theme of a 1970s Hong Kong cop show.

No, that's probably in the right direction though- I don't think it was sung that high and the melody of the vocals was close enough to that River Lullaby song that we both spotted it in the middle of a conversation- I can say with 100% certainty that the bit where she sings "Sleep and remember this last lullaby / and I'll be with you when you dream" is at least in the music (I don't speak german). Thanks, though!

I'm trying to find an italian 80s disco song, performed by a woman from possibly Guadeloupe. The chorus is "Little girl from Guadeloupe", but google doesn't bring up anything. I think she immigrated to Italy, the song is in english, the producer is italian. Months ago I found it on Youtube, but what the hell if I can remember the name of the song. e: it's Josette Martial, and the chorus is the title of the song. I'll be astonished if anyone gets this one. It's a pretty 80s-sounding synthpop song, with that typical combo of drum machine/kinda monotonous eighth-notes-bass line/simple synth hook. The singer is a woman and I didn't get any of the lyrics. The main lyrics hook might have been something like "message for love" but it could be anything roughly in that syllable pattern. I only heard it briefly in a loud store and I reckon it's something relatively modern because I know my vintage 80s songs. Maybe Chromatics or another Johnny Jewel project but I'm just saying that because he's involved in so many, truth be told by this point I remember it so badly that if someone does post it I probably have only about a 75% chance of recognizing it. e: I'm not ruling out it was genuine 80s because there were so little modern elements but then it was loud and I only heard like half of it My Lovely Horse fucked around with this message at 19:04 on Jun 12, 2017 |
