Interesting, the two times I've seen Gost play mesa it was kinda sparse. There's a few guys trying to keep a scene going around here but phoenix is the kind of town that doesnt support anything ever.

They're the children of cuban expats who are really mad about what happened still that they support the embargo and other measures because they want to punish Castro at the expense of also pointlessly punishing the families and citizenry of the island. THey should be ashamed and ignored in national policy but it's entirely unsurprising. That's the side of miami absolutely nobody is drawing their musical aesthetic choices from.

Which is weird, Miami is pretty big on EDM and electronica back before the instagram bros jumped up and down in front of some decks. I've never been but I heard club Space closed but then again most synthers play smaller venues Maybe the darker synth acts are actively avoiding it because they want what they think are grittier cities?
