So I been watching the chinese cartoon the King's Avatar recently. I'd make a thread for it, but the season's half way over already. It's pretty good quality, especially since it's a chinese cartoon in the twenty first century. It's an MMORPG/e-sports cartoon that's actually about MMORPGs and E-sports. Granted the web-novel actually goes into more detail, but really its going at break neck speeds at times. I'll just give My Anime list's summaryquote:Widely regarded as a trailblazer and top-tier professional player in the online multiplayer game "Glory," Xiu Ye is dubbed the "Battle God" for his skills and contributions to the game over the years. However, when forced to retire from the team and to leave his gaming career behind, he finds work at a nearby internet café. There, when Glory launches its 10th server, he throws himself into the game once more using a new character named "Lord Grim." The supporting cast (especially the other E-Sports Pro members) really bring life to this series. Some characters are just plain quirky like Steam Bun Invasion or Huang Shao Tian who must be heard to be experienced. Of course there's a reason why it also has a fujoshi fan base too,. They're released weekly on Friday, though you're better off finding the Bayi-subs version (as the official subs are both poo poo and way too fast at least until episode 5 when Bayi becomes the official sub) Also McDonald's is a major sponsor so lots of McDonald's food porn. Some of the other characters include an unemployed college drop-out, a genderqueer person working at a drag club or something and an escort service woman and her kindergarten-age son. Also I think the landlord dude mostly earns money by being a smut author because none of these people pay rent on time or ever? I remember basically everything but any names, kinda makes it hard to track down.

In the US, McD is a cheap brand, and works to keep costs down while maintaining convenience. In other markets, it may be more of a luxury item, where the combination of exoticism and consistency draws from a crowd higher on the socioeconomic ladder.
