Wait, I change mine to Castle of Cagliostro. I completely forgot Miyazaki directed it, probably because it's an older one.
I guess a lot of Lupin fans hate that movie since it's so different in tone and characterization compared to all other Lupins, but conversely since Cagliostro was the first Lupin I ever saw I've found it incredibly difficult to get into any of the other series/movies because they're so different in turn.

Princess Mononoke is my favourite. I rewatch it every year.

It made me realise that I could have easily become one of those people who are a bit too enthusiastic about wolves if I'd come across it at a more impressionable age.

Is Cagliostro the one that has a scene where the gang is being pursued by an 18-wheeler the size of a skyscraper? That part was so absurd I can't help but love it.

Internet is bad at my workplace so I'm not going back a page to quote but I agree that Princess Kaguya is absolutely gorgeous but the story didn't really do anything for me.

It's in the image results, although I'm not sure why you'd want to check as my post was meant to serve as a deterrent for anybody else who might have been curious and would be potentially upset by seeing such a thing. The art style was obviously very different from anything typically associated with Hayao Miyazaki, so I went to have a closer look and was greeted with a body pillow featuring a nude child in a sexualised pose. The most questionable website I visit is in fact this one.

tbh i thought kags was kinda boring too but then ive never been a big fan of miyazaki's stuff. i can appreciate his talent but a lot of it's just lacked a 'spark' for me ig, its why porco rosso is my favorite, its mostly just a dumb adventure comedy, but it feels alive
