Well no, thrown out for extreme sass. If you drag the freaking on deck circle away you're pretty much asking for it. Pitcher is the real villain here

That said there was a Cub game maybe a month ago where Lester was pitching and there was some no name Schmitty who was practically warming up behind the ump and I couldn't believe Lester didn't have him moved. It was distracting to watch on TV, let alone if you're pitching

The whole loving league was heated tonight. In addition to that, Harper got tossed tonight in the Nats game and Bruce Rondon drilled Mike Moustakas because the Tigers were losing 14-2.

The funniest part of Rondon/Moose was the Tigers commentary going "Moustakas threw his bat in to the ground, took two steps and then realized that's Rondon out there" as if Rondon's fat-rear end successfully intimidated his way out of a fight.

The hall of fame severely lacks 3rd basemen for whatever reason.

Adrian Beltre was underappreciated in Seattle, and that makes me sad. Then again, he played through a lot of injury which probably hosed his numbers alongside Safeco Field being a death to right handed power hitters.

Beltre's probably had a better career than George Brett. Well that's my take on things.

ego symphonic
Feb 23, 2010

Brett definitely had the higher peak with five different 7+ WAR seasons to Beltre's one, but Beltre is apparently immune to age and has played at a consistently excellent level for far longer than Brett did. Also, terrible timing by Beltre putting up a 10 win season in the national league in 2004. Would have been a no-doubt MVP choice in pretty much any other context.

The Dodgers are not winning the World Series this year without a healthy and effective Kershaw. Trying to ensure they can still win it if he can't come back seems a fools errand.

I don't think McCarthy and Darvish are equally likely to suck, but the difference isn't worth Verdugo or Buehler (which is what every team is still asking for). I do think McCarthy is every bit as good and reliable as any other postseason team's #4 starter though, so pointing to him as a weakness makes no sense to me.

They didn't win it last year with a healthy and effective Kershaw. :smug:
