Case and point, this shouldn't be on Steam. But honestly, I could spam and fill this thread with asset flips. I check new releases multiple times a week and see half a dozen every loving week. They're the leading argument on why an open Steam is a horrible thing.

Steam's guidelines don't specifically define what they consider pornography versus "adult content" (which is allowed with an age-gate), so it's probably just up to the "I'll know it when I see it" judgment of whoever inside Valve winds up reviewing the game.

I think a lot of it comes with Christine Love having an established rep for art games and having more critical leeway than, say, Sekai Project, regardless of Ladykiller's content.

One of her last games was about a teacher using the internet to spy on his students and has naked pictures of an underage girl in it with the rationale that it's a statement about privacy on the internet so if you actually went out of the way to look at it then that's on you. Being a provocateur is kind of her thing, after putting out something that is legally child pornography in some countries putting regular old porn on Steam is a step down if anything.

I said it before, I'll say it again- why bother playing a game if you want to see naughty bits? I can kind of understand it if you can customize the characters, but if you're playing with presets, why go through all that effort? The Internet's right there whether you're into 3D or 2D, after all. Am I just lazy?
