I'm not reading back to check, but I'm pretty certain it was just the one guy who wanted polygon chat sequestered. The response was kind of a thread-wide shrug, then he posted a no effort polygon thread anyway and told everyone to go there. edit: So I'm not just doing what the last guy rightly said not to, this pops up on the front page of youtube every time I visit and its a good bit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvoVWSP-T4Q

New Polygon thread's good. The people who don't like Polygon post reasons for not liking it beyond "lol SJWs" and their existence in the thread keeps it from being an echo chamber and makes the people who do like Polygon are pushed to defend it by posting their favorite articles and reasons for liking Polygon's perspective and style which is much more interesting than "The Polygon Show is good! Russ is bad!". I stand by my decision to make a new thread and would do it again.

i mean the only Polygon stuff i saw discussed here was video or podcast-based and of a very specific group of Polygon staff. so i don't really care to read posts complaining about articles i don't read, or how much they hate Arthur Gies or whatever.

I gotta admit, I like the new Polygon thread. Huh, I didn't think it was directed at the real McElroys, I just thought it was a weird coincidence that this sorta lame comedy troupe used their surname and features three brothers. It's also really old, from before the McElroys had the kind of following they do now.

I'm pretty sure its an attempt at Adult Swim Tim & Eric cheesy public access style TV style sketches but they went too far and just made a normal TV commercial for a completely fictional company.
