If E3 this year was any indication Nintendo's getting into blase title card or lowkey whatever announcements so I'm sure someone will say some poo poo like "...and these new amiibo will also be compatible with Smash Brothers DX for Nintendo Switch coming next year" and give it no time to sit and move on to like some indie 3DS game.

I wasn't saying Smash will never happen, but it seems like they'd rather build the Mario Odyssey Hype train and then drop the Smash bomb a few months before E3 and then they can tease us with more details later on.

I am close to the end of Mario Rabbids and if not for Breath of the Wild it would be my GOTY thus far, which is insane in and of by itself, but the fact it's 2017, the great year of gaming, makes it crazier. Whoever said this has the feel of a Rare game during the N64's heydey is correct. My wife could not give less of a poo poo about strategy games but she's almost as far as I am. Even my 6 year old is having a blast messing around in world 1. It's pretty obvious now how Ubi-soft got the green light from Nintendo. I really hope we get another one of these. It's a fantastic turn based strategy game full of charm, humor and awesome music. Also, Luigi is a cold-hearted killer. Once leveled up, his Steely Stare lays waste to all. He's like the Winter Soldier in his killing efficiency.

Your phrasing makes me unsure if you're referring to Hitchhiker's because you know that happened a number of years ago. The Artemis Fowl writer Eoin Colfer wrote at least one more book in the series. It was okay, didn't totally capture the tone but it also wasn't as laden with depressive nihilism as Adam's writing. or that was  in which case ignore me

I beat "get to the goal" challenges in like two turns when it's intended to be five or six. I escort Toad past the enemies and out of range before they spawn.

I can't help but think about how much cooler it would be if it wasn't a crossover. Like, if there were shyguys and koopas moving at you doing various moves. Don't get too close to one of those warp pipes, there's a piranha plant in one. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the hell out of it. Solid 8/10. But if this had somehow found the way to be 100% Mario +Magic Kingdom it would be 10/10.

Yeah the Rabbid stuff is take-it-or-leave-it to me, but Nintendo wouldn't ever make something like this without Ubisoft, so I guess rabbids are the price you pay.
