I'd rather run Kluber, Carrasco, Bauer, Clevinger, but I'm not setting the rotation. Francona took Cleveland to the brink of a World Series win with Corey Kluber, Trevor Bauer and Josh Tomlin all pitching on short rest. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until we lose.

I think this is more about setting the series up for heavy bullpen use in game one, with Kluber in game two and then a travel day. Also would be very surprised if Tomlin goes through the lineup more than twice, I'd expect to see Clevinger come in as a bridge.

6-minute video so I don't expect many people to watch it, but Adam Wainwright talking about the charity work he does earlier this year. Dude's a really, really nice guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_ZC01k7yys

In non WC news, Jays had a press conference today, general indication seems that they don't plan on trading Josh Donaldson and will be trying to figure out an extension, he wants to stay in Toronto too. god I hope so

It was fun while it lasted, Twins I'm not nearly as excited about the NL WC game tomorrow, but I'll watch for the hell of it. Maybe we'll actually get more than 2.1 combined IP out of the starting pitchers!

Part of the motivation for Bauer is game 1, other than lining up for Kluber in game 5, is that Bauer is most able to bounce back on shorter rest if they need him in game 4. I'm a Cleveland fan who intensely dislikes Bauer as a human being, but he has been a solid pitcher this year.

Seems unlikely that the Yankees would do well in a 5 or 7 game series if their starters continue to go 1/3 of an inning per outing.
