Weekly PPVs with no free TV on a budget that required 50,000 buys per week to break even.

At the end WCW was doing 50,000 buys per show.

Their PPV expert was a guy who had been fired from WCW for incompetence.

Edit: They averaged about 8-10K buys per weekly show.

It's like a tech company. The company is losing money NOW, but that just means it's cheaper to buy in and be on the ground floor. They all remember how the wwe went from losing millions to a billion dollar corporation overnight.

Also, Dixie really wanted to be famous and she was willing to burn her father's company to accomplish this. I don't think she ever cared if it made any money as long as she got to be a star and hang out with Hulk Hogan

Schiavone wasn't hired but did appear two or three times in early-TNA (the weekly PPV days)

I don't even have an image of what I want to be. I have nothing. All that exists is zero.
Speaking of weekly PPV era TNA, Pluto TV (that weird free streaming service) is showing some of those along with old PPVs on their channel that's nothing but TNA 24/7. I just watched most of #55 from 2003. Those poor girls dancing in the cages look so sad.

Pluto also has a channel of "slow TV" that is just un-narrated video of an eight-hour train ride through Denmark and stuff like that. I should ask them what gets more views.

When they licensed the TNA name to Hermie Sadler to do house shows they did OK but those were limited and had diminishing returns.

It's possible they made money on house shows in 2009 when they had a good buzz but I kind of doubt it given payroll.
