I guess if you're hungry and all you've got is bread and dolmades, it wouldn't be the worst thing.

You can get bright purple, brown/black and navy bell peppers as well. A lot of vegetables come in a rainbow of colours that you never see at a supermarket.

At a glance, scallops and bacon with what I think is a corn salsa.

How are canned dolmadakia? I keep seeing them on the 'ethnic' aisle at the supermarket and am intrigued but I kind of figured they'd be gross.

I wouldn't eat them on their own, but they're not the worst...like in a gyro or something.

So I looked up what a dolmadakia is and it turns out it isn't a sausage as I had previously assumed.

Or uh, I guess it might be a sausage if you subscribe to no sausage rules, or possibly a sandwich.

Dolmadakia (my family says "dolmades" but we are EGreektian so the Greek is poor) are best with leaves y'all picked y'alls ownselves, and very good rice.

RAAAAARGH!!!! GIFT CARDS ARE FUCKING RETARDED!!!!

(I need a hug)
I made them once, obviously only worth doing if you have your own vine but with a pilaf type rice and a good oil they are a nice snack with some olives.
E: I wish I could make them again, but it was "one last thing I want to try before moving out of this house that has vines".

I wonder if wild grape leaves would work. We have loads of wild grapes around which nevwr produce, thoigh admittedly the leaves are small. Maybe it is time for some home grown AFP.

I love really dark, rich ryes and combining it with sweet flavors just sounds like the worst thing to put on it.

Can I ask why? I eat dark rye and peanut butter with blackstrap molasses sandwiches almost daily and they are delightful. I'm starting to think I'm broken.

i don't remember if was some nice spicy rye or a real sour sourdough, but i once tried putting pb&j on it when it was the only thing i had in the house. it wasn't terrible to finish, but the flavors did not work at all

the molasses thing might work, i will have to try that next time i have some appropriate bread
