New faceoff idea, for use after goals and the start of each period. Just spitballin' here:

a) their team brings the puck into the other team's zone

or

b) the puck is passed back to them

I'll show you not scoring! And besides you guys have Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin not being injured, you'll be fine in the long run. Hell you also took probably our second best forward last year for basically nothing. Meanwhile Habs might as well be playing Soccer the kind of score lines we've been seeing. Hell your average Soccer club probably has more goals by this point into their season. To put in perspective there's only 1 team in the league with less GF than Montreal's 5 in the Sharks with 4....cause they've only played twice.

And even then, it's made demonstrably worse by going batshit insane in the offseason and saving Chicago from their immediate cap hell by shelling out for Shaw.

The Nationals and Capitals are really trying to one-up each other on heartbreaking postseason losses in the DC area.

Also it is now officially at 20 years and counting between semifinal appearances for a Major 4 DC sports team. Thanks Obama.

A stadium that's not even half full for a team that had a 12 year 474 game sellout streak up until a couple years ago is somewhat noteworthy.

1) Kucherov has one of the most disgusting wrist shots I have ever seen, holy poo poo

2) Jake Guentzel status: still cool and good

3) It's so bizarre to see the Penguins' second PP actually scoring goals. NOW when am I supposed to schedule my drink refills???

4) I'd still rather Jarry play in the AHL than sit on the bench in the NHL until Murray gets hurt, but the Pens should probably just shitcan Niemi and pick up whoever's on the waiver wire, they really can't do any worse

5) Not generally worried about the TB loss though, the Pens are always sloppy as hell on the back end of back-to-backs and MAF was actually kinda the perfect backup goalie to deal with that whereas Niemi... isn't. Might want to think about bucking tradition and starting Murray on the back end of the back-to-backs actually.

The NHL has their own streaming platform called Gamecenter. It's $170 US for the season.

The catches are:
Games considered local to you are not available.
Nationally broadcast (in your country) games are not available. Usually a handful a year, unless you're a Chicago, Buffalo or Pittsburgh fan.
No playoffs.

SlingTV and other services like that probably have a few channels that carry hockey too but nothing dedicated.

I still don't really understand the point of local blackout rules. I'd probably sign up for Gamecenter if I could actually watch Flyers games with it.

e: I has PS Vue for a little while, but the price difference with a regular TV service was almost negligible, and the connectivity wasn't great.
