Arrow Keys + ZXC controls are kinda standard for 2D platformers, I thought? You sometimes see WASD + Mouse, I suppose, but that's pretty bad for certain games since the left hand has to focus on movement keys and the mouse can only be assumed to have two buttons.

Oh boy let me tell you about the days of the ZX Spectrum and AZOP movement controls. Some of them used IPQZ instead. I suggest you try actually miming using those controls.
