I've seen Immolation so many times I lost count being from upstate NY. Ross and Rob are both awesome guys too. Have the best death metal sound in my opinion.

I think what singlehandedly elevates Immolation to greatness is Robert Vigna. The whole band is talented, but Vigna's guitar work gives the band a signature sound that most other DM bands lack.

I've been listening to Concertina a lot recently but unfortunately their album is more like an EP with only 5 tracks. Are there other bands that sound very close to this? The band mention influences from Black Sabbath, Down, Orange Goblin, and The Sword and you can tell it's true, but these bands don't really sound the same individually.

that album is iskra's magnum fuckin opus. the production is incredible and i was so happy to learn they just have the one female singer instead of the 2 vocalist setup like they did a few years back. edit: theyre like the perfect example of a modern crust band mixing with black metal/thrash imo
