Uriah Hall tends to have trouble pulling the trigger when he needs to, and it seems he does a lot better when he’s angry and motivated, whether by people saying he has no chance against his opponent or by the death of Paul Walker. I think it’s not productive to psychoanalyze him for the same reason I’m not going to say someone could win more fights if he improved his squat form; I’m not his S & C coach or his sports psychologist. I will say, as someone who’s watched Uriah Hall win fights he should have lost and lost fights he should have won, that he needs to develop a jab and throw combos more so his offense is more threatening.

Hall was best with Chael Sonnen shrieking "jab, jab, jab, just touch him!" and has done kinda ok at times without a steroid eunuch in his corner.

I think it'd be pretty hard to find one as odd as Overeem.

I mean with Overeem he went 1-3 after his drug failure and there were definite stamina issues there. Earlier in his career he was cutting a ton of weight, so it's not like either was a huge mystery.

He's also a perpetual frontrunner and gets knocked out the moment a fight starts going wrong.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: sometimes passing just isn't an option.
Anderson Silva should fight GSP for the middleweight title when he comes off suspension and let Bobby Knuckles fight Wide Man.

DJ continues the long duck of TJ dillashaw by saying it probably won't be his next fight, and it should be for a 130 lbs catchweight title if it does happen.

I don't remember people getting this cheesed about GSP pretty much never wanting to fight Anderson Silva when they were both in their primes and champions in their respective divisions.

I guess the rules are different when you're smaller in stature.

GSP/Anderson was always about GSP coming up to fight Anderson, and GSP always said the move would be permanent.

This is about Dillashaw coming down to face DJ and become another 2-belt champ (not like Conor's is legit since he's never defended). DJ doesn't have a reason to decline the bout like GSP did.

DJ has defended his belt a record amount of times.

Conor gets what he wants because he's a goose laying golden eggs.

TJ just got his belt back in a division that has emerging contenders that he should probably concern himself with more than fighting the champion of the division beneath him just for masturbatory purposes.

These two are nothing alike.

Anderson Silva was a giant middleweight, Georges was an average sized welterweight. He claimed many times it would take a good year to bulk up to where he was comfortable to fight at MW and he didn’t want to hold up a stacked division at WW.

DC fights in relatively weak division and fought at 135 a big chunk of his career and has also cleared his division.

He’s ducking, there’s no way around it.

Yeah you're right.

The champion of a division not wanting to fight the champion of the weight class above him is absolutely nothing like the champion of a division not wanting to fight the champion of the weight class above him.

Totally different situations.
