Is one of those that game where every single character seems to have an infinite combo, so it's strangely balanced? Somehow I keep catching streams of tournaments for whatever that game is, being played by chain-smoking late 30s japanese guys. Oh I'm thinking of a fighting game, so probably not.

Yeah, that's the utterly loving broken ArcSys fighting game, they usually do better. I was talking about the two Dynasty Warriors style ones that Koei made that were bad even if you otherwise like those sort of games. While the first one has its moments, the second one is utterly awful.

I don't know if you've read the uncensored version of that route but holy gently caress I do not envy whoever had to censor that because not only do the protag and love interest gently caress a lot but there's a lot of really gross borderline-  body horror in there that, to my understanding, the censored version somehow replaces with (of all things) vampires

Dropping $100 is easier than paying vote bots to upvote your poo poo on greenlight. Instead of having a relatively paper thin barrier for entry, valve constructed what seems like a wall for entry but is really just some yellow caution tape.
