Recreation means individuals can grow a couple plants and consume it themselves. Commercial production needs the MMPR license, and they have to wholesale to by and large government monopolies who sell to consumers. Go read the weedstocks reddit

I used to be able to make a simple html table referencing google finance like this:

I could see a few tickers over whatever time period and I liked it for the simplicity. Is there anything out there I can swap in place of google?

I have a remarkable ability to buy GBTC at a top and sell it at a low, and it doesn't seem to happen with any other stock. CME says bitcoin futures are going live on Dec 18 and I'd like to think that'd take a bite out of GBTC but most people can't trade futures.

Personally I am impartial about it. There are some things I like about it and other things I do not. I think the deduction for state taxes needs to go, and that is coming from someone who lives in Maryland. I think a lower corporate rate is the future as globalization isn't going away. The pass-through changes are a clusterfuck, and the standard deduction increase is just populist politics to garner support for the bill. If it were up to me, the corporate rate would be set at zero, capital gains and dividends would be taxed at personal rates, and increase the top personal rate to ~50% to offset the revenue loss. Tax the business owners and not the business itself, and you would eliminate the incentives for corporations to avoid taxes.

I think the question really is whether or not a President Pence would be any less favorable to business and low taxes. If you ask me, he would be if anything a more stable and reliable supporter of big business. If an impeachment did happen, or even a real strong threat of impeachment were to happen, I do admit that there would have to be a market pullback for a while. The chatter this morning is that the Senate Republicans will successfully push through a tax bill. That will help the markets maintain strength, obviously.

Hello, I am new to this thread. I am reading up and trying to find information on learning how to invest. Specifically, I am interested in trying to get on board the "Elon train", but I am finding it really difficult to see which companies to invest in. I was wondering if anyone can give me a few points to start me out? Places to read about various companies or past investments, projections... what the hell all the numbers and charts mean. You know, just a little bit.
