I think it's entirely within Senku's character to take Kohaku aside and demand she list off every villager's name and a short bio so he knows what he's working with.

I am insanely into Ginro's self-delusion, really interested to see how the Chrome Magma fight ends. I don't know if Chrome's power of Science will win but it feels like it'll be Senku vs Magma in the final because it's be weird for the tournament to peak now.

There's a non-zero chance Chrome gets disqualified because evil heart explosion magic and/or the sun itself count as outside interference because shonen standards demand the protagonist and current antagonist both reach the finals. On the other hand it feels thematically appropriate for this manga to end in a situation where the final three contestants are all on the same side so who knows what next chapter will bring.

I don't think ES21 guy cares about shonen standards. One of the big ES21 tournament arcs had both major rival teams they were built up faces in early rounds with a new opponent in the finals.

I can't QUITE say this is my favorite manga ever. Yet. It's getting there. It's good. SO GOOD. I cannot wait to see how things proceed from here.
