He spares and gives energy to Frieza even though he killed his best friend, and Frieza is so insulted by it he tries to kill him with it as he flies away. Goku nips that problem in the bud real quick.

It's what you grew up with i guess. Brian Drummond was the best for me because he nails evil, scheming vegeta. It took awhile for me to like Christopher Sabat, I was just put off by the whole thing of namek finally chugging along on it's later half on toonami and then everything, every song and everybody getting replaced. Drummond is good for him up until around the time he dies on Namek, where he's a tiny little man sneaking around the planet stealing things and killing people. Once he starts fighting on the good guy side Sabat's voice fits better.

Another thing too is sticking to the script. Take Drummond just 100% sticking to the script on oceandub years back to what you see in super now, where Sabat has room to do some adlib and it's just magic. "Let's go see Yamcha" was loving hilarious and i'll never forget that
