Areopress update: is doing work every morning. I switched to inverted method but i found water starts to get bitter at around 190 so i do 180ish add instructions recommend

im WFH today and i made coffee with my manual grinder instead of the electric because baby plankun was sleeping and it wound up so fine i could barely press my aeropress but it made a great cuppa

I kept my grinder (it was a crap 20 dollar one) behind my toaster oven and it got all melty over time. So now I grind beans with a bowl and a jar of spaghetti sauce. Welp, that's my story.

I bought the cheapest tinned coffee powder from Coles, combined it blue package coloured artificial sweetener from Aldi, and mixed it hot water and some full cream milk: delicious. Maybe you turbo nerds are overthinking this.

last night i spelled hot coffee all over myself on the way to a date, and i was complimented on smelling like coffee when i got there gonna start bathing in bean juice i think

My friends. My parents have a nice espresso machine and it was amazing while I was visiting them this Christmas. So I went ahead and bought myself one. Turns out, I have no idea what I’m doing. So gonna have to buy more beans and spend all night experimenting until I can figure out how to : A - make good espresso B - steam milk without making a mess.

getting good espresso at home is a rabbithole i regret going down at times. it was expensive and i wasted a lot of good beans geting there but at least i can drink good coffee when i want now.

hi thread i got a burr grinder for christmas and a moka pot, and i went from never drinking coffee to drinking a french press pot in the morning, and a moka pot "latte" after work. drinking coffe now
